Michigan Football Coaches Clinic Slated for March 10-12
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan football program has teamed with the Baltimore Ravens in an effort to create the Greatest Football Clinic Ever. It will feature some of the biggest names and coaching staffs in high school, college and professional football. The clinic will be held over three days, March 10-12, on the Stephen M. Ross Athletic Campus at the University of Michigan.
In addition to every member of the Wolverines and Ravens staffs, the clinic will feature eight high school coaches and some of the best innovators in the game as keynote speakers.
· Mike Martz, the orchestrator of the “Greatest Show on Turf” and a former NFL head coach of the St. Louis Rams, will be speaking on offensive football.
· Retired Virginia Tech head coach Frank Beamer, a five-time conference coach of the year and the 1999 national coach of the year will talk about the importance of special teams.
· Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin, a college and NFL assistant coach, will speak on defensive football.
· In addition, the featured high school coaches are Matt Bird, Tom Bolden, Roger Harriott, Bob Head, Auggie Hoffman, Marvin Sanders, Brent Whitson and Kevin Wright.
· The clinic will also feature a Michigan Legends Forum (names to be announced soon).
