OTE: Wrote this without reading above comments, so excuse me if it's repetitive.

1) No phones were allowed. At all. Event staff was keenly watching and would ask you to put it away the second you took it out of your pocket. Harbaugh said we wouldn't want to give Utah any advantage.

2) Harbaugh asked the students to make noise. I would estimate 1,000 in attendance. Cheer, Dance and Band were present.

3) Rudock played with the ones all night. He looked much better than Shane and much more supportive to his teammates/involved. I would be utterly shocked if Shane starts at this point. It looks like there is separation between the two QBs. I found Shane to be somewhat disgruntled. Looked upset with himself and his teammates when mistakes were made. After a false start, he visibly rolled his eyes and had poor body language. And, in my opinion, it was more of a sore loser attitude than a "I want to be the best we can be"/productive disappointment.

4) Highlight was Rudock to Harris TD.

5) Field Goal kicker made 6 out of 8 of his long field goals (45-50 yarders). Not the prettiest form, but he made most of them.

6) Rudock actually had a pretty solid scramble run at one point, although I think Peppers would have flattened him had it been a real game.

Drake Harris :obama: If he can just stay healthy :mjcry:

Another Review

Okay, sorry for the hour long hiatus. I just arrived home from Ann Arbor. I actually just moved from Ann Arbor to the Shores last week since I just graduated with my masters (yay for the MCard still being valid). To save the time of reading through the whole thread here are some takeaways.

Offense: Very vanilla play calling. Mostly split time between the first and second teams, with the third team lead by Speight receiving one series.

QB: Rudock ran with the 1's and was noticabley better than Morris. He didn't foce anything downfield, and actually tucked it and had a nice scramble. Morris threw a couple nice deep balls that were a little out of reach of his recievers, but as a whole he looked kind of down on himself the whole time (especially on the first series where he threw a poor past behind his receiver on 3rd down).

RB: Tough to see any real seperation. Mostly dives and iso runs all day with Smith getting the start and Isaac spelling him with the 1's. Green ran with the second team, and Johnson did not get any carries in live action

WR: Drake Harris looked like the best receiver out there. He still is quite slim, but he could really be a difference maker this year. Perry started in the slot, and Chesson also started. Darboh did not dress. We need someone to step up this year, because there were several times none of them were able to get open.

TE: Jake Butt has All B1G written all over him. I was interested to see that Poggi ran a little with the 1's and HIll didn't see the field much.

OL: No surprises here. Kugler did not dress and was on crutches

Defesne: They played well for the most part. Almost exclusively played a 4-2-5 with Wilson and HIll as the safeites and Peppers at Buck.

DL: Glasgow and Godin started in the middle which was a little surprising, and Henry and Ojemudia started at ends. Wormley, Hurst, and Taco subbed in at the DL. I was surprised that Lawrence Marshall didn't see the field until the 3rd team D hit the field.

LB: Morgan and Bolden out there for the majority with Ross spelling them. Gedeon and RJS saw some time too, with RJS being in mostly as a rush end.

CB: Stribling and Clark started at corner and Lewis was hurt. Lyons saw time only with the second team and also played a little safety as well.

S: Hill and Wilson were out there as the 2 deep safeties with Peppers playing a hybrid

Special Teams: Kenny Allen was kicking with the 1's.

Overall: Like I said, very vanilla play calling on both sides. I was surprised to see Godin and Glasgow at tackles and also surprised that Lyons was only running with the 2's. Cole and Canteen are a couple offensive players who did not participate in the scrimmage. Defense should be stout this year. Offense still remains to be seen. Rudock appears to have a grasp on the starting QB position, and once Darboh gets back into the mix I think him and Drake could make for a decent pair on the outside. We're going to need our OL and backs to step up, and expect for a lot of Jake Butt this year. It was a fun time to be back in the Big House, and the practice was capped off with the fans and the team singing The Victors.

I'm not here to clown or make jokes, but how many games do you think y'all will win this year? I love Jim :mjcry: Have to start hating him when the season begins :mjcry: Most of y'all are cool dudes, though :ehh: It's just the rivalry :pachaha:

This is gonna sound like a weak/generic answer.. But this team can win anywhere from 5 to 10 games. I'm putting their win total at 9. People don't understand that we have a lot of talent on this team. They weren't coached for shyt is the problem.

On one hand, I think the Utah game is gonna dictate how this season goes.

On another hand, even if we lose to Utah.. I don't see Harbaugh allowing the kids to get down for too long, and he'll coach them right back up and get them ready to get better.

I agree somewhat. The talent is there, but I think the QB play is going to determine your future at the end of the day. If your QB is sound, I see y'all winning a lot of games, which is good for the conference. Also good for the B10

Jeremy Clark and Freddy Canteen to corner??? I have unquestioned belief in harbaugh but oh my. I remember Clark looking lost when we gave up 400 yards passing to Gary fukking Nova. If he was a 6'4 natural corner he would have been as high a recruit as Peppers.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh gave upbeat updates on a pair of Drakes during his Thursday press conference. Both redshirt freshman wide receiver Drake Harris and redshirt junior running back Drake Johnson got a thumbs up from the head coach.

Harris has been practicing right along, but Harbaugh noted he's been impressed with the second-year player's effort this fall. Harris sat out all of his true freshman campaign, like he did most of his senior year in high school, with hamstring issues.

"Drake Harris has done a really fine job," Harbaugh said. "You're going to see Drake Harris on Thursday night, God willing and the creek don't rise. He's going to be in there doing a good job.

"He's been really sharp. He's been good, and it's important to him. He's strong, and I'm excited about him every day. From where we were in spring ball to where we are now, he's one of those youngsters who has really made our football team better."

Meanwhile, Johnson is bouncing back nicely from a second anterior cruciate ligament injury in his knee, suffered last November at Ohio State. Johnson fought his way to become Michigan's lead back last season, only to succumb to injury on a touchdown run versus the Buckeyes.

"Drake is cleared, practicing, and we haven't decided whether he's going to play in this game yet," Harbaugh said. "But he is ahead of schedule, doing a fantastic job. He's getting bumped around, he's in practice. He's an explosive football player, as you know probably better than I do.

"But I've been watching him lately. We're excited about him."

:salute: to Strength and Conditioning Coach Kevin Tolbert. What the hell was Hoke's S&C coach doing? Tolbert now has the O-Line weight looking like the old Michigan O-Line :banderas: Tolbert had these kids working in the off-season

At long last, Ahmir Mitchell has officially given his word to become a Wolverine. The 6-3, 202-pounder is the No. 102 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 19 wide receiver, and is also the No. 3 player in New Jersey.

He made the call at a 5 p.m. ceremony at his home, and in a video produced by Bleacher Report:

Mitchell becomes the 23rd current member of the Wolverines' 2016 recruiting class, and the second wide receiver, joining fellow Garden State standout Brad Hawkins of Camden High (Hawkins' teammate, defensive end Ron Johnson, gives U-M a trio of New Jersey pledges).

With the commitment, U-M nets 107 points in the Rivals.com team rankings, moving to the No. 5 class in the nation, just ahead of Florida State. The Wolverines are expected to sign a full recruiting class of as many as 28 prospects come National Signing Day in February.

Brehs ... Brandon Peters is putting on a clinic again this week. He's playing against Ben Davis (our ATH Chris Evans commits school) .. he just threw a 80 yard TD pass down the sideline ... It was a thing of beauty ... :mjcry:

Kids got Andrew Luck Written all over him ... from the way he throws, to the way he tucks it and runs .. :russ:
