Championship Saturday is behind us, the bowl matchups have been announced and college football players are preparing for exams before they begin preparing for their postseason opponents.

That means it's a very busy time in recruiting, with the mandatory month-long recruiting "dead period" fast approaching this weekend. The Wolverines will be hosting several prospects on campus this weekend, and it is a prospect from Texas.

"Michigan’s marquee visitor of the weekend is Top100 offensive tackle Jean Delance out of Mesquite, Texas," Clint Brewster of Wolverine247 said. "This could be one of Michigan’s top overall targets in the class, as some coaches think Delance has all the ability in the world and could be a high first-round NFL draft pick."

The Wolverines, specifically coach defensive line coach Greg Mattison, have been working the state of Texas hard. Michigan is still in on several players from the Lone Star State, but Delance could be the most important one of them all.

"Michigan has a good shot to pull him away from Texas, but the official visit this weekend will be key," Brewster said. "Michigan needs him in this class and offensive coordinator Tim Drevno has recruited Delance harder than anyone."

All Crystal Ball Predictions

The Longhorns are the favorite to land Delance according to his Crystal Ball predictions, with Texas A&M and Oklahoma close behind. This weekend will be key for Michigan, and it will be interesting to watch his Crystal Ball after he returns from his trip to Ann Arbor.

Delance is the No. 90 overall player in the nation according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. The four-star prospect has more than 25 offers from major programs around the country.

ah man i'm sorry,

I meant to say 2016 QUARTERBACK depth chart...total depth chart is too early / too involved to know. My confusion is on the projected order of the freshman, O'Korn, and Speight and Morris

Shane redshirted to have 2 years of eligibility elsewhere

O'Korn and Speight competing for starting job
Gentry 6'8 project
Peters already agreed to redshirt
Malzone is there to get a free education
I'm sure we'll put in a call to Taysom Hill, unless you have a heisman candidate QB, you have to.

Nate Johnson commits to Michigan

Newsletter

Michigan offered Thompson Station (tenn.) Independence wide receiver Nate Johnson this week. This week he took on official visit. Today he tells 247Sports that he has committed.

"It was a gut feeling and a no brainer," Johnson said.
His film

got some speed:jawalrus:
Sounds like they're uncomfortable about WR.
