Evans will be a change of pace back for one more year. Hes a true sophomore and with us going to a 4 receiver set you need a big guy back there to pick up blocks. Same reason Smith was the go to last year even though he wasnt thr most talented

The thing with Evans is that although he's gained 12 pounds since last season, he's still thin. I dont think he can handle 20+ carries a game. Coach needs to find other ways to get him involved.
I saw McDoom his Junior and Senior years at West Orange High School .. and while he was good .. he never really showed having great hands? They actually mostly played him at wildcat. It was weird.

since they arent winning a title this season, im totally on board with maybe going 8-4 with peters gaining a year of seasoning and getting good chemistry with the rest of the youth movement on offense first team in real game action as opposed to 9-3/outside shot at 10-2 depending how many games speight coughs up. i have zero confidence in a comeback if they get down 2 scores with speight, similar to alex smith at the nfl level in the regard where you just lose hope when you get down. id rather toss peters in the fire and see what you got
