Not at all. There's just so much goddamn clutter here. As a huge fan of the MAX series by Garth Ennis, I already know that it's possible to tell focused stories with the character and not lose track of characterization, so to see this season waste half its time on completely irrelevant shyt is just brutal.

For instance, the Lewis Wilson subplot on a character level does absolutely nothing for no one. It might touch further on the issue of disillusioned veterans but not in a way that it actually affects or develops someone's character. You could cut all of it out, add one scene of Frank coming out of hiding after stumbling onto a robbery in process, and storywise be at the same place. The whole shyt is empty filler.
I'm just saying, we learnt interesting and key things about Curtis, Micro and Billy and their backstories/motivations just from the scenes with Micros family, Billy's Mom and Lewis's PTSD, I think they did a good job. I'll admit Lewis's story was probably the the weakest part of the season as it was progressing but then the hotel episode where his sub plot came to an end was one of the best and well executed episodes of the season, so it payed off imo :yeshrug:

theres a lot i love with stuff i just don't care about but thats starting to disappear more as the episodes go on.

Episode 8...really liked this episode. had a bit of everything and was that a little ode to American Psycho at the start of it ?

The funny thing is I feel like this show plays out just like a punisher series, honestly I think hardcore punisher fans just wanted more of the punisher punishing... and I don't think that really would have done the character justice. Altho a bit slow at time I think they handled a one man vigilantly killing machine really well.

Lewis was the lamest thing about the show but it tied together some strings when it was all said and done.

It will do, you'll like it more as it comes to an end, the last 4 or 5 episodes were the best of the season imo.

Episode 10

Frank did a whole body roll, picked up a dead mfer and used him as a shield to escape whilst getting clipped four times. This nikka is something else!

Add me to the too slow group guys.

I never read a Punisher comic for the story. I read and watch to see Frank get down.
ill scenes when he does but not enough for me so far

Very sceptical coming in to this as the Marvel shows on Netflix are hit and miss

But damn they did their thing with this :whoo:

If they keep this level of production up Marvel could have some classic shows on Netflix

just finished. dope show. definitely top-3 marvel show.

so what's next? are these guys gonna be in infinity war?

i was lowkey hoping for a daredevil cameo in this season, but i get why they didn't wanna put him in. i think next season will be the return of Billy.

I'd say Punisher got the #1 spot on Marvel list right now. You can be picky about the pacing in the middle of the season but I thought the acting was great, Bernthal is that dude (also a fellow DMVer) and the show hit on a lot of contemporary themes
