I'm just saying, we learnt interesting and key things about Curtis, Micro and Billy and their backstories/motivations just from the scenes with Micros family, Billy's Mom and Lewis's PTSD, I think they did a good job. I'll admit Lewis's story was probably the the weakest part of the season as it was progressing but then the hotel episode where his sub plot came to an end was one of the best and well executed episodes of the season, so it payed off imoNot at all. There's just so much goddamn clutter here. As a huge fan of the MAX series by Garth Ennis, I already know that it's possible to tell focused stories with the character and not lose track of characterization, so to see this season waste half its time on completely irrelevant shyt is just brutal.
For instance, the Lewis Wilson subplot on a character level does absolutely nothing for no one. It might touch further on the issue of disillusioned veterans but not in a way that it actually affects or develops someone's character. You could cut all of it out, add one scene of Frank coming out of hiding after stumbling onto a robbery in process, and storywise be at the same place. The whole shyt is empty filler.
