DOLLHOUSE STAR JOINS MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER

A former Whedon-verse player is now officially a part of the Marvel-verse.

Dollhouse's Enver Gjokaj, who you've also probably seen on Dexter, The Walking Dead, and many other shows, has landed a co-starring gig on Marvel's Agent Carter, starring Hayley Atwell.

Per Deadline, Gjokaj - who actually appeared as "Young Cop" during the New York battle scene at the end of Marvel's The Avengers - will play the "sweet and honorable Agent Daniel Sousa, a true war hero who has risked his life many times – resulting once in a crippling leg injury."

But that's not all. Marvel.com is reporting that One Tree Hill's Chad Michael Murray is also jointing the mix as "SSR Agent Jack Thompson."

Marvel's Agent Carter is set to air after Marvel's Agents of SHIELD finishes up its 10-episode Fall run, bridging the gap for eight weeks (episodes) in between SHIELD half-seasons.

Dollhouse was good once you got past those early one-off episodes and the show started delving more into the mythology a lot more.

One Tree Hill alum Chad Michael Murrayjust joined Marvel's Agent Carter, and this isn't just a small role or cameo, either...he's going to be a series regular!

Marvel announced on Friday that Murray has been cast in the major role of Strategic Scientific Reserve Agent Jack Thompson, who meets Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) when she takes on a new role at the SSR in New York City.

Hold up, Lucas Scott...in a non-sports uniform? This just keeps getting better and better.

Murray isn't the only new face that has joined ABC's midseason show.

Marvel also announced that Dollhouse fan-favorite alum Enver Gjokaj has signed on as a series regular. Like Murray's Agent Thompson, Gjokaj will play Agent Daniel Sousa, another suit that Agent Carter meets at the SSR.

Agent Carter follows the story of Captain America character Peggy Carter after the war ends in 1946. When all the men return from fighting abroad, the once-important and high-ranking Carter finds herself marginalized. Working for the covert SSR, she must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark, all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America after losing the love of her life—Captain America himself, Steve Rogers.

The only bad part about this casting news? It makes the wait for Agent Carter's midseason premiere that much harder to bear.

Though she needs no formal introduction, Hayley Atwell will be making her Marvel TV debut before her own series, Marvel's Agent Carter, kicks off this winter - appearing as Peggy Carter in the Season 2 premiere of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on September 23rd.

Marvel.com has revealed the official plot synopsis for the premiere, titled "Shadows."

Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives with limited resources--but that's not stopping them from keeping the world safe from powerful and unseen threats everywhere. However, with new members they hardly know, will S.H.I.E.L.D. ever be trusted again?

And in the middle of the list of the episode's guest stars, "Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter" appears.

So the question now is: Will we see an elderly Peggy Carter, like we did in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, or will Peggy appear as her young self via a flashback or old video footage?

Howling Commandos Join Peggy Carter on Agents of SHIELD

A new image reveals Peggy Carter's role on the episode, along with two Howling Commandos fighting at her side.

When it was revealed that Hayley Atwell would be guesting as Peggy Carteron the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season premiere, we didn't know if we'd be seeing an modern-era elderly Peggy or a young Peggy via flashbacks.

Now, thanks to TVGuide.com, we not only have an answer to that question, but also a photo from the episode. One that reveals Atwell as a young Peggy Carter along with Kenneth Choi and Neal McDonough as Howling Commandos Jim Morita and Dum Dum Dugan.

So that's two confirmed Howling Commandos appearing on the Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiere, "Shadows," with Peggy in a flashback scene that will open the episode.

Atwell, as you know, will star in the new Marvel's Agent Carter series, which will premiere after Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. completes the first half of its second season.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres on September 23rd on ABC.

ABC and Marvel have released a bunch of new photos for Marvel's Agents of SHIELD: Season 2, and while the ones from the premiere are certainly interesting, it's also worth looking over the full cast photo.

While the original six stars are all back, it looks like we can expect prominent roles for the returning B.J. Britt as Antoine Tripplet, plus newcomers Nick Blood (as Lance Hunter) and Henry Simmons (as Alphonso "Mac" Mackenzie), all of of whom make it into the cast pic as well.

The premiere photos reveal more of what's to come when Brian Patrick Wade debuts as Carl "Crusher" Creel, AKA the Absorbing Man, who it seems faces off with Glenn Talbot (returning guest star Adrian Pasdar). Patton Oswalt also returns in the premiere as Billy Koenig, while Lucy Lawless makes her debut as Isabelle “Izzy” Hartley.

EDWIN JARVIS CAST IN MARVEL'S AGENT CARTER

The role of Howard Stark's loyal butler has been filled.

James D'Arcy (Let's Be Cops, Cloud Atlas) has landed the role ofEdwin Jarvis, Howard Stark's butler and an unexpected ally to Peggy Carter onMarvel's Agent Carter, due on ABC this winter.

Marvel.com reports that D'Arcy's Jarvis - originally the Stark family butler in the comics but turned into an AI program (J.A.R.V.I.S.) voiced by Paul Bettany when paired with Tony Stark in the MCU - will "help Peggy (Hayley Atwell) navigate her way through what may be her most dangerous mission yet"

D'Arcy joins the previously announced Chad Michael Murray as SSR Agent Jack Thompson and Enver Gjokaj as Agent Daniel Sousa.

There's yet to be an announcement regarding the role of Howard Stark on the series, though Atwell herself hinted strongly in an interview that it's Dominic Cooper.
