I remember this, I like how they explained how he paid for his education, but I wasn't feeling the black/white power struggle expressed through innuendos. Even as a kid it felt weird. The Thing refers to his "blue eyes", "he's trying to split us up" and then at the end Thing says something like "the pigeons gonna shyt all over y'all little African statue" and then laughs.

Reading Black Panther: The Man Without Fear now. Wish we could get Priest back on writing a good Panther story/script so that T'challa can get the treatment he deserves.
Hudlin's writing was aight but his Panther arc (the one the motion comic/cartoon was based on) was too c00n-y/pandering.

anyway, panther imagedump. Always thought it was dope that one of Marvel's most powerful was black, but I still think that there hasn't been a writer other than Priest that's really shown us what he could do. Would have loved to see a McDuffie Panther story arc/series.
