In Long Beach for work for the week. First time here. Last time I was in the area was 1999.
So far, been to:
Redondo Beach Area
Watts Tower (shorter than i thought but cool to see iconic structure)
Carson
Crystal Casino (who knew LA had legalized card gambling)
Downtown LA (nice, lots of new condos, ate at Panda Express in this office tower outdoor space; cotdamn hills had me out of breath; homeless woman with titties out; walked by cool ultramodern buildings; stopped by City Hall Park and haf some OG Fried Chicken Wings)
Chinatown
Little Armenia
Thai Town
Hollywood/Vine (Hollywood Stars)
L.A. Contemporary Museum of Art/La Brea Tar Pits (Cool architecture and outdoor sculptures)
Wilshire (Rode down pass the expensive ass condos, luxury shops, UCLA Medical Area)
Santa Monico
Light Rail/Subway
Takeaways:
1) Cotdamn it's diverse as fuuck..
2) Massive physically
3) Cars, cars, cars, and freight trucks. However, walkable, light rail/su ways/buses. Plenty of bicyclist, skateboarders, and all types of other modes. Got shocked while looking down at my phoneby a guy on a motorized going like 10 mph on sidewalk. First I was upset, but then I was like I want one
.
4) Food: Didn't try alot of variety.
5) Women: A lot of really really fit women. Some baad black jawns especially the huge afro
look jawns. Caught one smiling at the Chinatown station. Southeast Asian broads, them Cambodian and Vietnamese with that brown tinged skin......
. A few thick and sexy Latinas. In Little Armenia I saw 2 different women with dumb phat asses...thrmey looked real
6) People: In general people seemed cool. I have walked a bit and took public transit. Definitely chilled out demeanor from what I could tell.
7) Weather: Beautiful. Houston is humid as fuucked. Although I sweated, because I was walking up hills. if I was in Houston I would have to take my t-shirt off, or just walk around without a shirt until my shirt air dried.
8) Black Folks: Sad that the black population and neighborhoods are being dimished, cause this is a cool metropolis to build.
9) I could live here for a year or 2, but would probably go back to th East or Texas.
10) I'll be back in 2018
