Gonna watch the pilot today. Will I be lost if I never watched any of the other super hero shows out?

HELL fukkING YEA YOU WILL BE LOST..... even if you are a thorough reader of Legion the comic, it is virtually impossible to know or understand WTF is going on... but the payoff from it is more than worth it!

The first episode was .

I'm gonna keep watching for sure.

It takes place in the X-Men universe but it's not related to anything (movie or TV show) currently out.

Having said that, you'll definitely be lost. It's a very weird, abstract show. But not for no reason....the season is 8 episodes and by the 7th episode everything is perfectly explained.

1. Why's the technology all from different era's and shyt?
   
2. Are they gonna explain how Lenny ended up sticking out the wall like that?
3. Are they gonna explain how Syd escaped out the cell/hospital?
4. Are any of the X-Men gonna show up in this show?
   
5. Was the character Legion in any movies or tv shows before?

1. The year/era is purposely vague so the story feels timeless. That's why people are dressed like it's the 60's but they have tablets, flat screens, etc.

4. Kinda.
5. No.
