One thing I'm a little confused about:
Did "Lenny" ever exist as a separate real person from Benny? Didn't Syd know Lenny as a girl in the institution?

The only thing I didn't like about this ep was the stuff in the mindspace with Oliver. I get it's important to the plot but the quirky (I'll refrain from calling it bad) humor felt really misplaced. The most interesting part was learning about Cary and Kerry.

Also, I could forgive the astral plane green screen but what the fukk was up with the green screen shyt at the end in the forest? Unless it was done purposely as some sort of manifestation of David's mind, okay, but that shyt looked low budget as fukk.

The Astral Plane stuff reminded me of the last season of Fargo.

Lenny existed because Syd commented that she killed her. I'm assuming the Shadow King (I'm calling him the Shadow King now, fukk it) overwrote David's real memories when Lenny died to make it seem like they were close friends because after the end of the last ep it's pretty obvious (dead) Lenny is the yellow eyed devil.

Man episode was pretty insane the whole astral plane scene was . Lenny being the Yellow Eyed monster makes sense but Lenny actually being Benny . David having the Yellow eyed monster at the end of the episode This show is going have a some crazy ass finale I can already tell.

As far as Lenny/Benny I'm thinking Benny was his friend and something happened to him. The Shadow King (as Lenny) popped up and pretty much overwrote his memories of Benny.

Also I didn't see anybody mention it but the yellow monster was in the scene where David committed suicide:

At first I thought it was kinda odd when dude was wearing the diving suit but apparently back in the day they'd use diving suits in sensory deprivation tanks. So I'm assuming they were experimenting (kinda like how they did in "Stranger Things", but without modern technology) and he got stuck in the astral plane.

Also someone asked if he had ice powers....no, but the astral plane is a mirror of the real world, and his body is frozen. So his spirit is in an icy place, too.
