How did y'all get through the first episode if this one is too much? Maybe there was something that I missed, but the last two episodes have been way more straight forward imo
What's funny is the first ep makes perfect sense after episode 2.
I see people in here talking about "Lost"....that shyt went on for 6 seasons and didn't explain a god damn thing. This ain't even been on 6 episodes.

The only thing I didn't like about this ep was the stuff in the mindspace with Oliver. I get it's important to the plot but the quirky (I'll refrain from calling it bad) humor felt really misplaced. The most interesting part was learning about Cary and Kerry.
Also, I could forgive the astral plane green screen but what the fukk was up with the green screen shyt at the end in the forest? Unless it was done purposely as some sort of manifestation of David's mind, okay, but that shyt looked low budget as fukk.

As far as Lenny/Benny I'm thinking Benny was his friend and something happened to him. The Shadow King (as Lenny) popped up and pretty much overwrote his memories of Benny.
Also I didn't see anybody mention it but the yellow monster was in the scene where David committed suicide:
