Review: Kung-fu is purely Oriental style of martial arts, which was established in China. Only the Chinese knew what it is and only they owned the style of martial arts. The Americans had no idea about this style of martial arts.
And it was not until the 70s of the last century. Just was a man who wanted to open all the beauty of the West of the East. The man's name is Bruce Lee. It was Bruce Lee showed an American what is kung fu. He made it through the cinema. But Bruce was also a remarkable writer that showed in 1970. Bruce Lee wrote the script, called «Warrior». Together with Warner Bros.» Bruce wanted to remove the first film about this fight style in America, where he had to play a major role. Subsequently, however, the role went not Bruce, a young actor dancer David Carradine. The film was renamed from «Warrior» in «Kung fu» and released in 1972. The film was so unrealistic in terms of fighting scenes, but this did not prevent him from becoming popular. Then the Americans began to think that they are aware of it.
However, the mysterious death of Bruce closed the page of the true kung-fu, but the Americans decided to cash in on his behalf and released just a bunch of films with the participation of allegedly Bruce, Bruce and many other counterfeits. But the film «Kung fu» in which the name of Bruce was only as a writer was popular. So Americans then released a series «Kung fu», which lasted 72 to 75 years. Then sort of idea is outdated, and no one did come back. But Bruce was the son, not brilliant, his name was Brandon. Now in 1985 Brandon comes to Hollywood, where he was not needed by anybody and was about to go. But the Director of the original «Kung fu» Richard Laing when I saw Brandon, I immediately invited him to play in the film the plot of the father. Brandon dreamed of becoming an actor, so I agreed. Thus, lang again gathered the whole team headed by Carradineand in 1986 he took another tape of «American» kung fu with very aesthetic called «Kung fu: the Film version». This film became the first major role Brandon. Then in 1992 he released another film kung fu with Carradine and in 1993 a series called «Kung fu: the Legend. On this Carradine stopped.
Now I want to discuss the best film «Kung fu David Carradine, starring my favorite Brandon Lee: «Kung fu: the Film version». The film is very weak. The plot is very interesting, but I will not write for obvious reasons, of course. True ending, I did not like, why do Americans think that the monks of the Shaolin monastery suddenly mages (sitting in the air, hear jumping grasshoppers and can kill at a distance). The second advantage, which for me is Brandon Lee. In General, the hero of Brandon's not it apart from other characters in the film. Chung Wong simple hypnotized by the guy who dreams of studying kung fu the «great» wizard Kwai Chang Kane. By the way, Chung Wong son of Kane. Brandon plays fine, however. But I remember his costume of a monk, asterisk-killer, a long sword monks of the Shaolin monastery and first class haircut, that is bald.
Unfortunately, the dignity of the film ends. Directing a film is weak, the action moments slowed. But the worst thing is that kung fu shows us that David Carradine. He dancer, he is a fight master? Statement of the fighting scenes no, the fighting is so scenic, that we can't see the skill of the only actor who knows anything about kung-fu - Brandon Lee. Very simulated battle Carradineand Brandon, there you can easily see how Brandon gives hand Carradine to do a throw. Sorry Brandon, an actor and amenable to some David Carradine that in the coffin saw all these battles, kung fu and real martial arts.
