Watched Special ID. The tone was different than I expected it to be, much lighter and comedic in places. Had some dope fight scenes, but not among the best Donnie Yen films I have seen.
Im glad i dodged that bullet, alot of his early flicks were trash, like legend of the wolf and ballistic Kiss

Takuma Tsurugi (Sonny Chiba) has been hired by the Owada too retrieve a cassette which contains a secret recipe for making cheap heroin. I only have the original street fighter on dvd, i seen some of part 2 and lady streetfighter, i could never get past the part with the guy with the sai's and that goofy voice and speech.

I've been building my movie library in MP4 (for rotation with the iPad) and my library is busting from the IMDB 250, to flicks from Criterion and now I've decided to hop on the Kung-Fu wave. I've just downloaded The Street Fighter trilogy. This a good enough place to start?

watch the street fighter (original/part 1)in its original language..the little fat karate instructor (kendo masaoka) has a comical voice!

I think the copy I'm DLing is original format, with English subs, so I'll check for that

Nope, masafumi Suzuki only appeared in japanese productions, he is almost famous for judging the muhammad ali vs inoki fight.
