Even though Landry Fields has his cringe-worthy flaws, he's still young and somewhat serviceable defensively though he needs to fight those screens better. Fields just needs to continue working on polishing his offensive game especially his dribbling and anemic jumpshot. I think the Knicks can procure his services for a reasonable price. Knicks still need depth and players to come off the bench. Hopefully, he bounces back. :sadcam:

Haha! Too much gloom and doom in this thread. He played no worse than J.R. Smith this series. I think Woodson put him in the doghouse at times that were unwarranted especially in this series. He definitely has his flaws but I'll give him another opportunity for growth. He's young, has decent basketball I.Q., and is depth for the 2 & 3. Other than his jumpshot and dribbling, I think Woodson hopefully making adjustments to the offense should help his offensive game and build his confidence. I feel Fields coming off the bench will mitigate his deficiencies. I don't know if the Knicks have more efficient and cost-friendly alternatives than Fields.

they don't...he literally costs us nothing. At the very least he develops into a decent bench player. And some ppl may not want to believe it, but he's developing his game. He went from spot up shooting and putbacks, to taking guys off the dribble, and I even saw him attempt to post up a couple times this season. If he can gain some consistency on his release, he'll be a good piece to have.
