I have a hard time agreeing with this logic. In fact I believe they brought Felton back in order to get Amar'e more involved in the offense (rekindle the chemistry the duo had before Ray was traded).

Thank you. I had the :rudy: face when I read the post you quoted.

if they brought Felton back to rekindle the chemistry he had with Amare then I see this offense being a bit of a cluster fukk...unless you think Felton can wave a magic wand and suddenly get these two playing together.

plus I kind of get the feeling Amare's back is fukked.

Dude Sounds Just Like Landry Fields lol

Only Brewer Is A Better Defender, Im Assuming His 50% Field Goal Shooting Was Alot Of Slashing To The Basket?

How's That Lil Mid Range Pull Up Jumper?

That's a big difference though... Landry fields played mediocre defense and then didn't show up when we needed him to... and took a lot of bad shots.

Brewer plays great defense and doesn't take a lot of bad shots, or a lot of shots at all it seems, lol... except his game at the basket.

That's exactly what we need... Not a lot of shots, a good defender, but can still drive to the basket and score.

Fits for us... maybe not for the Bulls though.

I don't think it was TO rekindle it... i think was to have someone who CAN play with Amare.

I think what they see in Felton is that he can involve people as much Lin did, without feeling the need to take so many shots. What the Knicks are doing is creating more shots for Amare and Melo to share.... and adding role-players

Kidd... Barely shoots at all anymore
Felton... Doesn't shoot a lot
Brewer... Doesn't shoot a lot
Camby... Doesn't shoot a lot

You're freeing up another 15-20 shots a game getting rid of Lin and Fields alone. So that means less games for Amare with 8-9 shot attempts.

Its also a matter if you think Amare is still an effective offensive player or not...which kind of goes back to my point...gut feeling is Amare is going to be phased out eventually for being ineffective and Melo will slide to the four.

Amare is also a horrendous defender...and considering the moves they've made...if he isnt scoring consistently...he really serves no purpose with the way this team is built now. Feed Melo, and play defense.

To be real... I DON'T think Amare will be in NY the last year of his contract unless the Knicks appear to be contenders with him. Otherwise he's the first to go...

But I think because of those same points you made.... these moves are to get the most out Melo AND Amare.

1.)Create more shots, because there clearly weren't enough for everyone last year

2.) Stack the defense, because Melo can play D, but doesn't do it consistently... And Amare just doesn't

3.) Get point guards who know how to get people shots... because even if there are more shots available, you need a player who is gonna give it to the right players to take those shots.

And honestly... how many more shots can Melo take? That nikka has no conscience. AT ALL. Which can be good :ahh: or bad :mindblown:

that's what Im saying though...Woodson fell in love with JR last year and I expect more of the same this year...we're going to live and die with them two on offense and hope that Novak gets open looks and gets hot.

He did... but remember that he only got that many minutes because there was no one else behind him. And 1 1/2 PGs

Next year it shouldn't be like that. I think it's clear JR Smith will be the 6th man. So he'll end up behind Shump... Brewer will take away some minutes (although he'll probably play some 3 as well).... And JR Smith should NEVER have to play the PG position again, considering Felton, Kidd, and Prigioni would all do better at that position then him

I'm assuming that eventually JR will fall back into his initial role... Come in the game with 8 minutes left. Take 5 shots in 4 minutes. If he's hitting and playing well, keep him in.... If he's not hitting, pull him out and try again next quarter... lol

Edit: And the point of the last statement was... Melo was already taking an insane amount of shots. With more shots available, I don't think he's gonna take EVEN MORE. They have to go somewhere else.... who's next in line?

Amare...

I'm cosigning every post u made on this page :obama:
alot of knicks fans that have the sense of :skip:

How can anyone not like these moves. Amare put up 20 and 10 against the heat with ONE hand. You can talk about his defense but his offense isnt a problem
