it's a decent argument, but one that doesn't hold weight. If Lin was a football player he'd be backing him up 100%, but since it's basketball he's condemning him :birdman: The facts are, the Knicks could've sealed Lin up during the season but didn't even though they were running him into the ground. Business move. So after Lin got hurt, he decided that he wasn't going to risk further injury to himself so that he would have a chance in the free agent market, but also as an NBA player. Business move. It goes both ways.

Still...you're right he shouldn't have commented on it. 85%....ugh

:lawd:
you and trip hanging out too much . We couldn't lock him up we had to wait for the bird rights not to mention he got hurt. I like Lin but you most really like him it's like with you all logic goes out the window . Lin won't really be a trade chip either if he's playing great we wouldnt trade him and if he's bad enough to want to get rid of him it will be hard . You trying your hardest to melo no credit for making the playoffs ignoring the end stretch .
You applauding Lin for being greedy and trying to get more money as its a business well Its dolans team and he's making a business decision

CAA is nothing more than a succesful agency. Stop the Woj nonsense making them looking like some evil cabal. Did the Heat's links with the agency hurt them? I have yet to see a decision made by the F.O. this offseason that hasn't made basketball sense.

The Heat have the best player in the world by a wide, wide margin.

Felton was a bad decision I'd argue. And bringing back JR Smith was also a bad decision imo.

Jr Was Cheap And We Had Little To No Options Out There At SG, Especially With Landry Gone

If We Lost Landry AND JR We'd Be So fukked Right Now

As much as I thought Landry was garbozo...id rather him than Smith making dumb decisions...and patiently wait for Shump to get back.

It scares the hell out of me that Woodson is going to let JR freelance like he had JJ in Atlanta. He;s not as good as Joe but he shoots just as much....he's also a timebomb

:what:

Lin as an expiring contract is a trade chip breh :wtb:

I'm not trying my hardest not to give Melo credit. I acknowledge all the things that he did at the end of the season with no Lin and for a few weeks no STAT. But I'm also giving him credit for us almost missing the playoffs too. It's irrelevant in this conversation tho...don't know why u brought it up.

It has nothing to do with Lin being greedy or whatever....it has to do with what is gonna make the team better (I said this already). The only thing not signing Lin is going to do...is hurt Dolan's pockets

you're talking to the guy that said Fields wasnt an NBA player...

You could have had Lin play the 2 as well with Kidd.

For people who keep saying that "Lin's contract is trade chip"...isn't that practically saying that we're counting on him not being successful in 2 years?

Isn't the whole point of matching the "ridiculous" contract to watch him blossom because he's 23, looked great, has the physical tools, etc?

right. Im actually in the camp that thinks Lin is the real deal. But you can hedge with the fact it is expiring in year 3.

CAA runs and represents Madison Square Garden. I just think its a conflict of interest in terms of basketball personel decisions that the head coach and Carmelo are both repped by them....and add on the fact "Linsanity" was probably the biggest story in sports in 2012 so far.

I think Stephen A's ties with Wes is where he's getting his info from. He's been adamant from the start of this thing that the Knicks are going to let Lin walk. Im just putting these two things together.

As far as why pay him? There's no one else they could use the money on. It makes no sense not to match....his contract isnt hurting the Knicks ability to make moves. They're strapped either way.
See you always saying you think you think as if you have more insight than anyone else . I know the Sas is on speaking terms with worldwide Wes but they not best friends. He's trying to Suck up to him
To get back in good with bron who doesn't speak to him anymore. These are things he said Sas not my opinion . And let me ask you this one more time has grunwald earned the benefit of the doubt? He rebuilt our weakness the bench into our strength and picked up lin
