The Official Knicks offseason thread

I've been lurking at a couple of Knicks message boards over the last week trying to follow the news reading those boards at the panic and hysteria. I've come to the conclusion that the only sane Knicks fans exist on here...and that's saying a lot. Sane Knicks fans are def the minority.

Even irl Knicks fans are off a bit. I live in GA and was playing ball the other day and another cat was a Knicks fan and was talkin crazy sayin the Knicks are gonna win it all this year, court was filled with former Hawks fans that are now Heat fans had me like it didn't help that he was the worst player on the court.

I just found out about the provision today:

In my opinion, the only chance we have to make a serious title run this upcoming season is if Lin turns out to be the real deal and becomes an all-star quality point guard. Because of the financial implications I fully understood why the Knicks were going to let him walk, but I was also resigned to not reaching the finals. Now with this provision, they have no real excuse...and we should just roll the dice with this kid.

if you're trying to say Lin & Felton are the same then yeah, you do have to point it out. We've seen Felton before & after D'antoni extensively. We barely saw Lin without D'Antoni before he got injured, and even then his stats weren't that bad

The expectations for Felton are set. There ARE no expectations for Lin because we still are figuring out what he's capable of

I agree and that's why I'm hoping we take that hit. No reason not to. We're not getting another opportunity like this and our cap is too fukked to pick up any existing all stars

But either way, isnt it kinda pointless since we already have 2? (3 if u count da euro)

If we're banking all our hopes on Lin being an all star you can forget about it

I keep seeing people use his advanced stats but 25 games is definitely not a big enough sample size to project anything with certainty.
