Yes, I agree with all of this too despite my feelings towards his handlings of the situation. But what do I know? For what it’s worth, Joe is a lot more talented than Charlamagne, Van Lathan, and definitely Crissles, so I can respect him putting them in their place.
He’s also right about Charlamagne being a forever worker. He tried to jump into the YouTube lane and no one cared. He will be signing another TBC deal come December.
He’s also right about Van Lathan being a token black guy he signed with Bill Simmons after that article came out that he’s a racist POS. He’s comfortable being showcased as the black best friend.
Joe might be going to war without a war chest, but he’s so determined (at least on the surface) I hope he gets whatever it is he’s looking for
From that Spotify statement I think Spotify believe the pod has peakedThere were people who thought joe was stupid for Not re upping with complex
there were people who thought joe was stupid for getting into Spotify world
There’s people who think he’s stupid for turning down an offer
they’ve all worked in his favor though
But let the coli 8 figure accountants rock
I personally probably wouldn’t have been able to turn down the extension though
Depends what your goal is.Dame Dash was still right whether he failed or not
From that Spotify statement I think Spotify believe the pod has peaked
I’ve even mentioned in this thread a while back how is this Podcast gaining audience?
You don’t think Rogan and Simmons have more and more people tuning in to their podcast every episode?I don’t think anybody has figured out how to gain audience yet..as far as established podcasters and the companies behind them
in joes case it’s probably shyt like bigger venues and actual tours instead Of the 3 date tours they do now sporadically ...and with that offer, Spotify would probably take most of that money anyway lol
spotify is just trying to beat that moment up front before someone figures out the real way to do it ..really every company is trying to do the same
That's what made me laugh about the whole rant at Charlamagne. He acts like he ain't got a job at Revolt or like he didn't have one at Complex. Joe is sounding like Kanye to me right now. More than willing to work with the white man until he doesn't get the funding he wants then it's "the white man is racist and ain't paying us our worth".Depends what your goal is.
I’d rather be a brain surgeon than own a hotdog stand in Montana, which is laughable according to his reasoning. Dames black and white view is for the birds. Being an employee at Apple and owning 0.5% of the stocks goes against there view, but in reality it means that you’re worth 10 billion bucks and doing what you love.
People forget that Joe Budden still has jobs too.
