I have no clue, and neither does anyone on this forum. Just seems like nikkas is happy to say oh they fukked up the deal and shyt on them. I feel like alot of posters just want this pod to fail All I know is I'm gonna keep rocking with the Pod, if the deal ain't good enough for them, then I trust them to do right by the fans as they always have.

Then again I think this whole thread is trash, bunch of dudes complaining about every word these dudes say. Yall be in here critiquing the pod like its game of thrones or the wire. It's four dudes talking shyt laughing and joking
Why are you so concerned with this complaining thing?

Dudes are not complaining they are discussing discussion topics. Then you might say they the guys on the podcast are always complaining because they don’t agree on everything :dahell:

It’s three hours of content, someone disagrees with one take of 30, and agrees with the other. Man wants to discuss this topic with some people who listen to the pod and posts here, you say stop complaining and just listen :dahell:

Like if you and your man are talking KD vs Kawhi, you say something he doesn’t agree on. Do you tell him to stop complaining?

Someone is going to pay them, you guys are tripping. It's just a matter of who. And all this dreary talk may be nothing but public negotiations. I'm not saying it is gonna happen, but it wouldn't shock me if Spotify and them still came to a deal.

Regardless, they will have options. Maybe TWITCH. Or maybe DIDDY might offer them a big bag to come to Revolt.
That's a step backwards and RIP their fanbase if any of this happens.

Revolt isn't offering "big bags" these days anyway...especially if Budden swears he's worth Joe Rogan money or whatever.

Last three podcast at spotify:

“Creators create”

“It was never about the money”

“Know your worth”

“Spotify didn’t even have snacks for us when we met them...that says a lot...that is all. I. Need. To. Know, cuH!”

“I mean, free feel to jump in here if what I’m saying is wrong....”

The unfortunate problem is joe got everyone accustomed to the Spotify eco system already. They got people on the premiums with the other benefits Spotify offers (like me who likes having Hulu on top of my student discount) then there are the people who tune in for free with Spotify.

The only solution I can see pleasing people is if they went back to soundcloud which would be a huge L. I don’t think putting a podcast behind a paywall in these times is a good idea even though all joes Hardcore fans are gonna dikk suck and @ him on twitter with their cancellations they won’t be attracting any new subscribers and a lot of people aren’t gonna pay exclusively for them when Spotify has a bunch of other big podcast.

I think joe should have done with Spotify the same thing i thought he should have done with complex, wait until the brand got bigger before trying to throw your weight around. If joe had stayed on complex until now he probably would have secured the bag, they were on that show for 8 months.

I also remember joe saying he would never accept a long term contract with anyone. I guess thats because he wants to be able to have leverage to increase his earnings but it works both ways if your numbers don’t grow you ain’t gonna get a bigger bag anyway. Rogan took the nike deal with Spotify which is why he got so much money.

Maybe it's nostalgia but I feel like the weekly threads were fun and full of jokes, discussions and us laughing about funny shyt pertaining to the pod. In my opinion it's been more complaining for the last 30 pages than jokes and outright discussion
but I can dead that just by not really coming to the thread :yeshrug:ima stop complaining about people complaining

I feel like the tone of the thread matches the tone of the pod. It’s like that on the subreddit also.

Can you guys explain Budden's rant a couple weeks ago complaining about why he didn't like the Rogan deal with Spotify? Something about Rogan setting a benchmark? Think it was during the Nick Cannon rant after he got cancelled.

I'm not sure what Budden wants or expects.

I remember the rant but i don’t remember the point he was trying to make with it. I feel like since this rogan deal they’ve been speaking in code and metaphors about how it benefits them or doesn’t. I don’t really think anyone would have been different either way.

Joe was so used to being a big fish in a small pond and now he’s back to his def jam days of having to watch the big dogs get priority.
