I’m talking factual numbers as far as the number of people who consumed and became new fans of 50 in a one year period.
He is too. Billboard is the authority figure when it comes to numbers. They confirmed last month DAMN was the 2nd biggest rap album of the 21st century from an objective angle in terms of charts dominance, sales, commercial impact,...

Do what you want with this objective metric, feel free to subjectively enjoy another album if you want, but it is what it is. It was bigger, period. Your personal and subjective observations really doesn't matter against the company that does the official tracking of sales, streams, charts, hits, radio,,...

DAMN did not have the commercial impact of Get Rich or Die Trying lol. Do you realize GRODT went diamond in the US alone? And this is pre-streaming meaning people got in their cars, drove to Tower Records or wherever and purchased the album.

It was bigger than GRODT, are you saying billbaord are wrong lmfao?

DAMN is about to go diamond too... so what?
DO you realize music consumption has changed? we don't consume music the same way, but it can still be tracked even though the way we consume is different.

This, dude is cool and all but hes just giving his subjective take on an objective ranking billboard themselves pulled based on the charts, the sales and the commercial impact. You can't refute this.
Not to mention the impact in real life could be felt as well.

2020: 474,000

2023: 771,000

What is a "sale" in the streaming era?
1500 streams = one sale. It excludes free subscriptions.

Billboard did say it way more difficult nowadays to have sales due to these rules. So it's actually impressive when these artists sell 300-400K, thats the equivalent of doing 1 mill+ back in the days.

Worth noting Kendrick and Eminem are the last rappers to have half of their final units in pure sales (most of the time)

Worth noting Kendrick sales are also boosted by the fact he's among the best sellers (in any genre) in vinyl format.
Matter of fact, gkmc is the best selling rap album on vinyl in the last 25 years.

GRODT sold 12 million copies worldwide in its first year of release. So yes, it did have more impact than an album that has taken 8 years to reach the same milestone.

We don't consume music the same way............................ what do you now understand?

But the commercial impact was bigger, billboard literally confirmed it
