Ish was destroying Joe
Joe looked stupid as shyt. He knows he’s trying to fukk over Ish. I don’t understand why u would want to work with a nikka who is obviously out to fukk you overJoe was stuck when that severance pay was understood. He was so confident until Ish agreed to pay Joe if he quit. Joe was shocked.
And he’s definitely getting paid for shout outsJoe might not do explicit ads but those long ass interviews with mediocre major label artists must be long ass ads
U think someone paying him to say that little? I think Joe does that just so he can seem like he really is a music head and don’t just listen to main artist albums. And he’s definitely getting paid for shout outs
He will name Drop that someone random singer like Jessie Reyes dropped a great project and won’t play a single song from it.
If Joe really like that album and listened to it he’s going to play something from it
After hearing that I'm seriously not even sure if that's the case. I legit think Joe doesn't have the understanding or knowledge to be able to negotiate a contract in good faith. His only real knowledge base for contract negotiations is the music business, which is notorious for having extremely unfair, one sided deals. That's his main point of reference, so in his eyes your either doing the fukking, or getting fukked in a contract. He seems to want to make sure he's the one not getting fukked in these situations, not realizing that there can be good contract situations where both parties come away with a win-win. Him being obtuse and not understanding Ish's pov regarding his protections in the contract is on brand for someone that's self centered and only able to see things from their own perspective. "How does it benefit me" is the question it seems to always come back to for him. That shyt was frustrating to listen to. Like trying to get my 10 year old to understand what he's saying is wrong. At least Ish left with a whole pan full of hot baked muffins after that oneJoe looked stupid as shyt. He knows he’s trying to fukk over Ish. Also, his entry level point is stupid. Kevin Hart has never had a talk show before, you think he is considered entry level? It's based on how profitable you are to the company. A first year associate at a big organization makes more than a first year at a small one because you're involved with more money. This is nonsense Joe is talking. By elevating Ish to host, you determined that he warranted that salary. You think the first time host on a major show is getting what a first time host on a basement podcast is getting paid. That contract convo is insane, no sane person is agreeing to those terms. fukk out here Joe
Exactly. Him pulling that out to try and minimalize Ish's role only made the argument more ridiculous for Joe when he's arguing with someone who deals with contracts by trade and understands value. Instead of Joe listening and trying to understand Ish's points, he was presenting the most non-sensical arguments to try and refute them. nikka wasn't making a lick of sense. Also, his entry level point is stupid. Ish is the only first time host on a podcast of that nature, there is no comparison.
