Meg just may as well be a failed investment for Roc Nation. 250K for a Future feature and 50k first week? Terrible.
You're way off. Artists pay management not the other way around and anybody invested in Megan is rich off her. She on a hit tv show, successful clothing deal, bunch of platinum songs that get placements, like 3 or 4 endorsement deals etc. Album sales are not necessarily the priority for an artist in a 360 deal who is as popular as she is.

Once an artist is at a certain level, management/labels will invest further into their artists to prop them up and place them in certain avenues to increase opportunity/visibility to bring in more money.

Labels pay for placements on playlists. She’s not winning these Grammies and all that off talent alone. Who do you think is funding her case against Tory? Etc

Of course they’re making money off her. I just don’t think the input (investment) will match her output goin forward. Hence why she’s paying 250k for a Future song that flipped hard. Thot **** was her last one and that was in 2021. I’m unaware of the brand deals she may have but they can dry up fast. And they will, if she don’t catch one soon.

Again way off :snoop:. Managers will usually help out unsigned upcoming artists but it's clear Megan (who had multi platinum songs at the time and signed to two labels) hired Roc nation management to help her get out her 1501 deal. Just like Meek did to get out of the Ross deal and Uzi to get out the Drama deal etc..

I'm not talking about playlist placements lol. I'm talking about her numerous movie, tv show, commercial sync placements. Off a google search she has endorsement deals with Calvin Klein, Coah, Fashionova, Popeyes, Puma, Revlon and just signed a deal with Netflix. She's doing over 30 mil monthly on Spotify and whoever invested in her probably has publishing for huge songs like "WAP" and "Savage".

There are a lot of artist who are bad investments but Megan not one of them. Using album sales to determine that in 2022 is crazy. 360 deals are the standard for a reason.

Joe does not like confident women, as much as he tries to pretend. The reason he loves Cardi so much is because she actually acknowledges Joe, and sometimes even gives him props for helping her "succeed" (Whatever Joe is or isn't, he definitely was a "pillar" of the starlets/strip club community, lol). Joe feels way more responsible for her success as he has any right to feel, as he did practically nothing, but he also has "Main character syndrome", basically is a an extreme narcissist, and she is far more personable than all the other female artists.
y'all swear y'all know joe like family. what makes meg more confident than nicki? matter of fact what exactly makes meg a confident woman compared to most female artists? he vibed very well with latto and she's probably the most confident or the bunch

Again. My secondary point is that all of that will dry up if she doesn’t catch another hit going forward. I never said music was the primary source of income labels/management gets off an artist.

I’m using her sales as a gauge to measure her popularity. If she doesn’t continue to sale, all of those opportunities/deals will dry up. Even with lack of promotion and this being an album to get off her deal, she should’ve done more than 50K

Regardless. I don’t see her replicating the success she had musically. I think she’ll sign to Atlantic, they’ll try to force a Cardi record and utilize the rest of the roster there and it ultimately won’t work.

Kodak Black has been one of the most popular artist for a minute, had one of biggest songs of the year and sold like 60k. Anybody using album sales as a metric to determine popularity in 2022 is out of touch . :flabbynsick:

Adressing your "secondary point." You say it will dry up despite all the examples we have of it not for artist less popular than her. ASAP Rocky, Teyana Taylor, Joey Badass, Ray J, Tpain, Tee Grizzly, Chance the rapper. All making millions despite not being able to sell albums right now.

She will continue to have tv/film and fashion oppurtunities regardless if she never sells over 50k first week for the rest of her career. Only things that's really a threat is Tory Lanez beating her in court.
