That’s BDot opinion lolThe problem is it wasn’t close to the biggest or most impactful album of that year (DAMN was). I’m not saying people weren’t allowed to like 444 more. I’m saying an album that a lot of people were tepid on became a rallying cry for Jigga stans in the media.
Not to mention it only going plat due to Sprint buying a million copies. It’s a dope album I liked but the entire media hoopla was hilarious to me. I remember Bdot trying to argue it had more impact than DAMN during the 2017 lists and yea…agenda shyt. To me that was Jay’s first album without hits in ages yet it wasn’t perceived that way by certain media folks.
444 would easily went plat without sprint
and story of oj went gold. That shows the impact of that album. That song should not been that successful
