But don’t act surprised when people call out the visual bullshyt. I been stopped giving a fukk when they showed their hands on the podcast long ago. None of it matters. These nikkas “Jay and Nas” doing victory laps in life.

It do matter to you. It’s been going on for years and y’all still complaining. They just don’t like Nas music like that. It has nothing to do with Jay Z. Y’all can’t get of 2001. Joe Budden is not anything like a cop. He not here to serve and protect Nas.

Ironically Joe thinks I Am is a great album lol. He likes Nas, Nas is in his top 5…he just prefers Hov. I’m fine with that part. I’m fine with there being Hov stans the way there are Nas stans. Imagine being a Jay stan reading some of the stuff posted here about Jay only talking about money in the 90s-early 00s…you’d be as mad as Nas stans are about the slanderous statements made about him.

My problem is what was said earlier by multiple people. A lot of the stuff boils down to who owns the powerful media company and who doesn’t. People audition for Jay on their own platforms in hopes of receiving things, like brunch invites. And part of that process in their minds means shytting on Nas or dismissing him. That’s just a fact…

Only thing I’d disagree with you on is the cop thing. To me it’s morelike journalism vs opinion. You got news shows during the day that just report the news, then in the evening you got Hannity and Maddow and all that shyt that’s opinion. Those people aren’t journalists but they’re on media platforms.

To me Sway is more journalist than opinion dude. Same with Nore to a degree. Budden, Akademiks…they’re the guys with the hot takes, agendas and bias. Which I’m fine with but like you said some people take that shyt as if its real news.

I’m a huge Nas fan. Owned physical copies of every album he’s dropped up until Life is Good. Joe and his flunkies could literally call Nas the worst rapper since MC Hammer and I literally wouldn’t feel any way about it. Like, who cares. Why would any opinion these nikkas have that differ from my personal opinion, bother me?

The problem is it wasn’t close to the biggest or most impactful album of that year (DAMN was). I’m not saying people weren’t allowed to like 444 more. I’m saying an album that a lot of people were tepid on became a rallying cry for Jigga stans in the media.

Not to mention it only going plat due to Sprint buying a million copies. It’s a dope album I liked but the entire media hoopla was hilarious to me. I remember Bdot trying to argue it had more impact than DAMN during the 2017 lists and yea…agenda shyt. To me that was Jay’s first album without hits in ages yet it wasn’t perceived that way by certain media folks.
