Wrong..they use brute force to crack down on any form of protests. When the Israeli bombs are dropping in Tehran they will lose that leverage. Especially if Israel makes it clear they are there to take out the mullahs. If you think Libyan rebels shoving things up Gaddafi's ass was bad, wait till F-35 fighter jets start bombing the Mullahs and they begin to run for their lives.

In Libya, the US was intervening on behalf of a civil war in progress with an organized insurgency and ostensibly to help an internal actor. Any attack on Iran will be seen as a foreign invasion and that rarely does not strengthen the regime in power.
I do not like the mullahs or any theocratic regime and how they handle dissent is reprehensible but people need to stop projecting our hope on these populations acting like they are all or majority pro-Western idealists. People keep acting like countries such as Russia, Syria, Iran, and Venezuela have zero domestic support outside of fear of the state but there are nationalist factions, economic interests, and patronage networks that keep these people in power.
Even for the dissenters, once bombs drop and friends and family are in body bags, their priorities could shift real quick.
I have seen this too many times where people claim war will topple dictators itself. Losing a war will topple governments but just starting attacking someone doesn't. Bombing Belgrade back in the day made Milosevic more popular at first until he finally lost Bosnia and Kosovo. If we just bomb Iran and go away any armed resistance, if it materializes, will likely meet the fate of the Iraqi Kurds in 1992. If we are realistic no one has the accumulated firepower or political will for a full invasion or long term war against Iran, especially without UN support.
