You forgot to mention they didn’t respond for 7 hours. Hamas was even surprised it was that easy.
Israel wanted to happen. They didn’t expect hostages to be taken or the number of deaths, but it made it easy for them to do what they’re doing now. Imagine if they didn’t take hostages they amount of destruction they would’ve caused by now.
