we have the same exact phone. im coming from samsung galaxy note 4After being part of the Droid Gang my whole life, I finally made the jump and got an iPhone. Man this thing is beautiful
I got the 128GB iphone 7 Plus in matte black. I thought I would miss the AMOLED screen on my Samsung screens, but the LCD on this one is better than I thought
And I don't miss the headphone jack as much as I thought I would. The only time I really use the port is in my car and I just keep the adapter in there so I'm good.

Nope it just vibrates like its on that mode but nothing plays

Try resetting the Settings.

Restore your firmware, if that doesnt do it then your speaker went out. wHat phone is it?

Dumb question, but is the volume turned up? It's happened to me before. Is it making noise when you lock and unlock the phone?
