I don't understand, don't you have to upload to use torrents, specifically private trackers?

Private trackers are not only free but the good ones have everything you'd want from standard rips to the full blu rays and everything in between, there's no reasoning to pay for a Newsgroup at this point. You are also not required to upload any content but yes you have to somehow upload what you download to maintain a ratio which honestly isn't hard at all if you keep your PC most of the time.

The best trackers are unmatched when it comes to content. From the latest releases to the most obscure shyt you can think of.

If you're a member of 2 solid ones, you'd never need to google anything ever again when it comes to searching for content.

looking at maybe building something like this, minus the bluray player ( anything yall would replace with it? more storage maybe?)

would this be able to handle steam games?

Just got my first build done and this thing handles steam games pretty well - Going to pick up a Radeon 7770 when I get the chance but as far as HTPC XBMC and certain steam games like Rust and CS this thing is running great

Blow the rest of your budget on a single slot video card (only type that can fit in that case). With that case you'd be limited to 250W for the entire build but it's most likely below that. PSU's that come bundled in cases are notorious for not being up to spec so I'd aim my build at around 25-50W less. I switched the HDD to a 7200rpm variant. The Windows I edited cause obviously you'd get that from me, :shaq:

Here's a build with an i3 + R7-260x (Unfortuantely can't fit in that case). Just threw it up there so you can get an idea of pricing.

Here's a Kaveri APU build, adding a video card in the future will most likely throw you over the PSU's threshold with this processor. You may not need one though if it handles the games you want to play.

Has anybody successfully gotten their plex to show up on their PS3? I am ready to cut cable on Monday but I need to get this straightened out before I do. Plex shows up on my Roku that is in another room, but not the PS3.

The Ps3 is hardwired to the router downstairs and the computer my Plex is on is hardwired to another modem, not connected to the router at all. The Roku is getting its wireless signal from the router. I changed my PS3 to static IP connection and went into the router settings and did a port forward to the same one my plex is on but still no luck. It is strange to me that the Roku can pick up plex but the PS3 can not, since they are both on the same router.

Any Ideas?

I can't front on how much I'm addicted to my HTPC
PC running on a I5 3570k and a 660 TI Video card attached to the Panasonic ST60, XBMC setup with 6 TB's of 720p or 1080p content, add in a PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Wii, Snes, N64 emulators with almost full catalogues. Thank god I ain't no couch potato otherwise I'd be on my ass 24/7 but when I am on my ass the content and sick PQ of the TV set is crazy good.

I don't think I could ever go back and get me a media box, fukk dat!
