Its really not that hard now that I've seen the process

All you need to pair the cable card with the prime is the cable card serial #, and the host id and data # from the prime

My problem was all the damn cable cards the techs had didnt work and then when they finally got one to work they didnt know how to find the host id & datat # :beli:

I basically did everything myself really, the tech was clueless as fukk and didnt even know how to use the internet

If you get one just pm me and I'll walk you thru the steps
No it's that you gotta make a call to the cable company and the person you call has to know what they're doing or it will fail. I've spent hours at people's houses making repeat phone calls to try to get it working properly.

ended up buying a Harmony Touch remote. Best Buy had a pricing mistake on their website so i got it for $201 and it came with a $50 gift card i had them apply to a previous purchase i made so in the end it costed me like $150. its a nice remote controls 15 devices the button layout is a lil wonky on it and i had to program some of the buttons to be page up and page down just to have physical buttons to browse the DVR, once i get it working with my PC i'll be good.

I want to cop one of these but I can never bring myself to spending that much money on a remote...plus I think I have a remote app on my phone for every device in my house except my kids tv

Word, I just use either my iPad or phone to control my devices. Even the Fios STB has remote apps for both ios/android.

Same here.

I use my TouchPad that's running ICS or my phone and use the Roku and Xbox Glass apps. My Viera TV also can be controlled from my phone/tablet as well.

a harmony remote is all about "activities" you push one button and point the remote in the general direction of all devices and it cuts them on switches the inputs for you so you can view whatever without having to cycle through different devices. then you have a rotating menu of options you can fill from each device.

i have one remote that controls everything in the house. i have my 3 TVs on this remote my 2 soundbars, my PS3, my 360 and my Wii U. once i get an IR sensor for my PCs i'll be all set.

i wouldn't recommend the touch but the 650 if you can get it on sale for $50-$60 is great. its the last remote you'll ever have to buy and its not like those garbage universal remotes that do limited shyt. these remotes do everything your device's original remote can do and them some.
