North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Maybe it's just me
But I see it beyond the politics
I just see it as someone taking revenge

Could've been at McDonald's
Joe didn't get the promotion he was promised
He plots revenge to take everyone involved down

Lil dude on the block was promised a corner if he put that work in
He takes down the opposition and they still got him runnin to the store for phillies
He plots revenge

The setting makes a difference though. The political aspect helps create different story lines as far as the corruption and shady shyt that goes on behind the scenes as well as lobbyists. The different obstacles Spacey had to navigate throughout the whole season. And he wasn't trying to get revenge. He was trying to get from point A to B. He hit a roadblock in the beginning and had to create another route to get there. He always had a long term mentality.

He was definitely trying to get revenge. He spells it out in the first couple eps. He expected to get put on by helping with that campaign, they won, played him, and he proceeded to fukk shyt up.

No offense breh, but you sound and type like a straight up retard. It took you 13 episodes to figure out he was taking revenge?:dahell:It was spilled out in the first episode, he wanted to be Secretary of State, but the President had other plans for him.

Anyway, for the nikkas that have Netflix check out the British version of House of Cards. It is 3 seasons but 12 episodes all together. That version of Francis is straight :demonic:. For some reason I thought the cac that plays Francis was the priest in the Omen. :russ:But is some other guy.

No offense taken
But how did you come to the conclusion that it took me 13 episodes?
I was just trying to imply that I saw it more of a revenge story than a political one
Like you said, the very first episode breaks it down for you
My apologies for the confusion

Who was he getting revenge on? The president? :childplease: The President was the one that screwed him.

His goal was to eventually run for president. He was career pathing and his goal was to become secretary of state and start his trajectory to a presidential run.

When that fell through he had to come up with a new plan and that was to position himself for the vice presidency. That's was really the only move he could make. And mind you, he had to not only pull it off but he had to manipulate different people and situations to where he was actually offered the job.

Everyone he fukked in the process were just pawns. Politics. It just showed you how far he would go to accomplish his goals. It showed the same thing with his wife too. They were about their business at all times.

Yeah but you didn't know that in the beginning, his true intentions was brought up in the last episodes. The President basically wanted Francis to keep the House in line, but Francis basically made things very difficult for the President by leaking things to the press.

He stayed up all night in the first episode. When his wife woke up and made him coffee he told her "I know what I gotta do" "A lot of planning" "A lot of sleepless nights".

He obviously wasn't trying to be secretary of state anymore so he railroaded the guy they chose. That's the only thing I think he did out of spite but I think that wasn't in his plans initially I think he did that just because. His plans were set in place before he met that news reporter and he really did that to help her out.
