great show.

my only complaint is that he wins a little too much. i actually like those couple of episodes where he took a series of Ls. made the character a little more believable. i usually don't care for female characters but his wife is a dope/interesting tv character.

Actually he lost in the first episode when he didn't get picked to be secretary of state. And even though he got out of them, he was put in a few tight situations. And when his back was against the wall he basically had to kill.

I just don't like how they portrayed the president and the people surrounding him.

i felt like they were a little too clueless to have gotten to where they are. then again when i see W Bush....

Bush got to stay two terms cause he seemed to be the kind of prez that didn't really have much ambitions or goals for reforms. no real agenda. he just wanted to keep his job and have the least amount of stress. almost like a regular guy who just shows up to work everyday. if anything cheney was the real prez. Cheney and Rove were pretty much running shyt it seems.

I just finished the first episode of season 2. But yea all my friends said season 3 wasn't really good. Im invested now though so i'll probably catch up by the end of the week. Season 4 is already confirmed though

Season 1 and 2 are really good. 3 has its moments but it becomes a different show. I don't think there's any going back at this point, but I'll at least watch the first couple of eps of Season 4 to see how it is.

Basically the only part of S3 I liked was their dealings with the Russians. Doug's story was not well told, the book and Claire/Frank relationship just got weird. Claire's behavior doesn't make any sense at the end of the season. Her shining moment was punking the Russian ambassador in the ladies room and since then it's been all downhill for her. She and Frank have always been a creepy couple but now it's to the point where their drama isn't compelling, just strange and off-putting. Someone as ambitious as Claire would definitely wait until the election was over to bring her relationship issues to the table with Frank. They've thrown away what drives her character and her motivation for the sake of creating a narrative.
