My water heater broke again! :hhh: Brand new just installed 9 days go.

Woke up this am to cold water. I haven't been refunded for the $850 yet and it seems like I will have to dish it out again for the labor.

May just go tankless like @jwonder said :mjcry:

Brehs when saving for a down payment for a house, what account did you use for your savings? A regular savings account, high yield savings account, or did you invest it?

Trying to determine what is the best place to put my savings. Plan to save for another 2-3 years.

It's generally not recommended to invest funds in the market meant to be used within such a short window. Obviously the market is volatile right now, which could help or hurt you drastically. I would recommend a HYS unless you have a larger buffer you can afford to gamble with.

On the real. I'm sorry this happened to you. That's my biggest pet peeve fixing something for it to break again.

It's very important to go with someone who really knows what they are doing with tankless. I would go by the reviews of people who say they install them

Whoever installed it the first time is responsible for making the fix AT NO CHARGE. Even my handy man guarantees labor for 30 days, these mf should be running back out within 9 days. You better not pay a dime!! You want me to call them?

Thanks. luckily he came about an hour after I texted him and went to replace the unit at home depot. He didnt charge me but he found the problem. Apparently the T piping in the basement, was suppose to divert water out, but was sending it back up to the water heater, which then fried it.

I wish there was a better way to deal with bugs. The little brehs are just trying to live and not hurt anyone but I can't have them in the house either. :sadcam:. Ants especially are unstoppable little machines that can't be shown mercy , I feel like a monster everytime the exterminator blows up a hive/nest outside. But if you give ants an inch they take a mile

My aunt gave me a Toro leaf vacuum/blower with an attached bag :blessed: Changed my entire grass cutting life. Sweep into a pile, suck it up the bag, and dump in the trash can.

I bought a fixer-upper that I am too lazy to fix:pachaha: Just going to do standard maintenance to keep the bones good and then sell it when I pay off the mortgage.Bought in ATL for 140 and I'm sitting at 90 left on my mortgage. I am calculating that it will be better to pay off the loan faster than to pay for renovations, then use the proceeds after I sell to lay down 100k on a down payment.:lupe:
