Why wouldn't you advise it.

It went against everything i learned and was advised about in a purchase. I had two mortgages, both adjustable rate and then I had a financial set back so things just went awry. I’m in Chapter 13 now, they lien stripped the second, and I’m just left with the 1st. That one is a 7 year ARM, that will adjust in 2023, but I should have it paid off my then.

Any brehs have any advice for a 1st time home buyer im able to use the VA loan but im saving money for a little to put down at the moment.
If you have access to a VA loan it makes no sense to put money down. Keep your cash and use the VA benefit. Unless you want to put money down on this house and use your VA benefit for another house I don't really see the benefit and this if you're getting a good interest rate.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing to just to get some cash out of all the equity I have right now. Does anybody know how that works now that HARP has expired?

Any of yall brehs not escrow your taxes and insurance?
I didn’t. Didn’t see any benefit basically increasing my mortgage payment when I’m responsible enough to save and pay for that shyt myself. Not a big deal, my lender didn’t even blink an eye when I told them I didn’t wanna escrow for that shyt.

Went house shopping the past 3 days with Realtor. Found one I like at 400k with 4 bedrooms, but will need to finish the basement before I move in. I want to add 2 bedrooms /1 full bath n the basement and maybe an office/gym/wet bar/kitchenette. It's like 1300 unfinished square-feet to work with downstairs. Lot is only 10k but the backyard is sloped, so I would want to get that leveled. My realtor texted me a house this am, that had everything I wanted but I'm not paying 550k :mjtf:.

Anyone ever had their basement remodeled?

Remodel, make it simple will cost 10-20K.
Get information on if it gets wet down there or not, get a vapor barrier
Add heating

Local storage. Don't want my videos stored on someone's servers and shyt.

Will likely grab their wireless security cameras next year.

Just upgraded to this cam from the Skybell HD. Love that it stores vid's locally, records in 2k and has some facial recognition features included.

Started saving for my first piece of property, anyone know much about FHA? As a realtor I’m looking to do research on both ends as a consumer and for clients.
