Came home from work yesterday, and saw my neighbors dug up all their grass on the front lawn. They're going to put down new grass, and I was just going to spread some grass seed on my lawn. Now I want to put new grass down, because I don't want my their lawn to look nicer than mine.

:birdman:

Keep up with the Joneses, brehs...

The grass grow so fukking quickly here. It needs to be cut once a week. Mid-key it's a lot of work and I'm looking at getting a lawn service to come and cut it regularly.

I'm kinda getting tired of cutting grass already.

I haven't made my first cut for the season because it keeps raining, but my shyt looks bad :mjcry: and cutting wet grass sucks! I'm investing in a battery operated trimmer and self-propelled mower this season too. I'm very excited about that. :lolbron:

I'm so jealous of you right now :to: I let my neighbor use the rest of the gasoline I had cause his junky ass ran out, so now I can't even do my first cut if I wanted to. I still have the old joint where you have to pull the cord to start it. I can't wait to sell it for $50 LOL

Which one you coppped?

I got the Kobalt 40v. shyt cuts GREAT but battery life is kinda ehh. should of got the 80 volt...

But yeah fukk dealing with a loud ass smelly ass gas mower.

Greenworks 40volt, it takes (2) 40 volt batteries, switches to the other once one is done. I only used it for the first time this week and it was :wow:, mowed for 20min both battery still at full charge

From what I've read the only issue with these mowers is heat , battery life allegedly goes down when it's super hot outside

I'm going with the Ryobi 40-Volt series. It says you can get full charge in about 3 hours, which isn't bad. I'm also going to have a second battery, which should be helpful.

When I buy my own home Ima look into artificial grass or astroturf. Something that doesn't heat up during the summer and won't break off in the winter. The amount of money people throw into their lawns in ridiculous. A garden or flowers, I understand, but that lawn stuff is ridiculous.

I've actually been look into that last few years and even today. Your looking at a couple of grand if you dyi and around $5k to get it done through a professional

I thought about getting a few yard of this for a small part of my yard and trying to install it myself

Can't see the media post.

I heard the upfront cost is quite expensive, but after that there's little to know maintenance. The big thing is how much it heats up in the summer. I play soccer in DC and during the summer the astroturf burns like crazy when we get the 88 degree weather.

Reviews were mixed on that some people said it did not get too crazy hot and some people (from Texas and and Arizona) said it got as hot as concrete

Other than hosing it down maintaining it was virtually painless
