I know everyone keeps telling me not to do the flat iron. I tried Bantu knots recently. They turned out bad because I didn't have any leave in conditioner at the time.
Well keep trying other styles...anything that's not heat related. Do you like braids?

Anyone have recs for a good hair hat that'll be good getting wet?

Please don't say braids, I'm pretty resigned to the fact they do nothing for my hair except pull it out.

Even braids without extensions?

Oh, those are okay. But I had my phase some years back of braiding it up and throwing a bun on it- my face too fat for that shyt now, plus it makes me look young as hell. I wanna try a weave, thinking some fullish asymmetrical bob.

I'm just going to be the lame on the beach/boat with a swimming cap on then, I don't get around water and not dive in!

Honestly, I think I might be okay if I don't keep it in longer than a week, just fry and blow-dry it to all hell.

I'm finished!

This didn't take as long as I thought it would....I hope this lasts a while...I think I did ok for my first time ever twisting with added hair :ehh:

The twists are only 4-5 inches longer than my real hair...I never noticed my real hair was so long :hamster:

I want my hair like this. Do I just have to grow it out and not put anything in it?

Basically. Just keep growing it for a couple of months then hit up a salon and they will do the rest for you. Take care of it while it's growing though, don't leave it dry etc because that is a sure fire way for breakage!
