:dwillhuh:So I got this game on the laptop and played it for a bit, but just put it on the backburner.

Is this a MMO :dwillhuh:?

Is there a end game:dwillhuh:?

Did any of yall beat it yet?:dwillhuh:

Do I really need to put in work in this game?:dwillhuh:

It's basically a BOTW styled gacha mobile game, but for consoles and PC. Really fun but you'll eventually hit a wall where the leveling slows down and you may be tempted to spend money.

@hex probably knows more but apparently they plan on adding a ton of shyt to it down the road.

At least you got him, and you're AR37?:mindblown:

I've been stuck on AR32. Haven't been grinding like I thought :francis:
Dead ass, most of my grind after dailies comes from just fukking around and killing world spawn bosses. As long as you ain't no-lifing every day of the week, chest/resource spawns come back around at a decent rate so just taking different routes between point A and point B is gonna keep you fed.

The only thing to grind towards is the Abyss at the moment - and frankly it doesn't even feel like its meant to be tackled in earnest yet. Floor 9 is the bytch. But by that point, most people have been gear checked a solid 2 or 3 times by the game and had a wakeup call or two. What I need to do right now is tool out my Ningguang to be a hybrid DPS/Healer and retool my Barbara as well. There's lot of stuff you can do with gear in this game and many characters can heal outside of just the labeled healers. Also, I think Bow users are needed later on too. NOT Venti though, since he's a setup guy and you need Bows to hit weak spots and put statuses on enemies more than exploit them.

I'm so done with Venti, I might just build an Amber :wow: I got Fischl too but to be honest I was never really feeling her like that for my team setup.

My two anchors are Ningguang and Beidou. Ningguang is one of the best *single* characters in the game - its her lack of synergies being Geo that kinda cramps things a bit. Her DPS is fukking dumb. She builds energy crazy fast. The geo barrier lets you take more damage than you'd be able to normally and prevents interrupts... just a matter of getting the right weapon for her (and I built a bad one :mjcry: so that's more grind for me coming soon). Beidou is a gatdamn beast, but she can't carry a team like most other real DPS characters can. Her damage is just too dependent on what the enemy is willing to fight you with. Where many characters can just set up shop and lay down damage constantly, Beidou requires an aggressive enemy focusing on you. When shyt is flowing right, the DPS is probably the best I've got out of anyone. But things don't always go right.
I'm liking Bennett as a support for the Abyss. Fire element gives the damage bonus with Ling. Ult gives attack buffs + healing that scales with his health. Helped me beat the 5th floor with relative ease after struggling to clear it without a 2nd healer.

If I can get a good combat healer to replace Barbara like Jean or a better DPS than traveler then I'll be set. Currently running some combination of:

Traveler-Bennett-Ling-Razor

Fischl-Mona-Barbara-Venti

at AR 29
You can live with Barbara doing absolutely nothing for a while. Up until AR 35 really. After that point, you either have to invest in moving her into a better supporting role - like getting her a real weapon, leaning away from the HP stacking a bit and more into Healing Effectiveness artifacts, actually upgrading her damage talents and elemental effects - or just stop upgrading her to save resources while actively building her replacement.

I gotta step my shyt up. I haven't been tackling the bosses like I should:snoop: and I don't have a solid team yet. I can beat them all but Oceanid, the wolf boss and that geo cube take everything outta me.

Got pissed in the Abyss cuz I couldn't beat those hoarder fakkits in time, kept getting 2 stars so I turned the shyt off. :pacspit:

No PVP in this game, thank god. Co-op opens up a bit later on.

Oceanid is a bytch because Water is just demonic as an element :mjlol: Unless you got a Cryo character to lean on, everything is some sort of trade off where you're gonna take damage as soon as you deal it.

Geocube is a DPS/gear check. If you don't have a Claymore, you're gonna be struggling trying to drop those pillars.

The 'wall' for most people isn't really the grind itself but how much more difficult the game gets at level 30. You can really just bullshyt and strong arm everything up with just one half decent character up until that point. I feel like 1.1 was meant to address everything after level 30 too.

So Sunday is the best day to farm weapon ascension materials in general huh :ehh:

Bennett is legit as support. Especially once you have his first constellation unlocked because the attack buff from his ult is no longer dependent on health percentage. Build him for energy recharge and you’ll have his ult up almost all the time constant healing+damage buff.

I didn't believe in Energy Recharge until just recently :mjcry: been playing on hard mode this whole time. Just patiently getting my ass beat waiting for that meter to come back.

So what is this game? It’s not an mmo? Are there any endgame raids with actual mechanics?

So what is this game? It’s not an mmo? Are there any endgame raids with actual mechanics?

It’s an RPG with focus on combat and exploration. Currently there are 21 playable characters each with their skills and supers. You get some characters free by playing the story, the other ones you unlock via a “wish” system. You buy these wishes with an in game currency called Primo gems. You get these by completing quests, achievements etc, essentially by playing the game. Or you can outright buy them with real life money. Each wish costs 160 primo gems. Every 10 wishes you’re guaranteed to get an item that’s rated 4 star or higher. These could be characters or weapons. Every 90 wishes you get a 5 star rated item. Again, characters or weapons.

You play through the story and then you grind to level up and fine tune your team of characters. You then use them to fight bosses, complete challenges and/or clear dungeon like structures for loot in the hopes of min-maxing your team. There are also co-op events where you can group up with people/friends to fight monsters+reach objectives etc.

A lot more content will be getting added to the game so raids are a possibility. At the moment I believe the most challenging content in the game is something called Spiral Abyss. It’s like a palace comprised of 8 floors. Each floor has three chambers and you need a fairly competent team to clear the first 4 floors, after that you’ll need 2 teams of 4 characters. It gets harder the further you go.

That’s a summary. It’s a really good and fun game :yeshrug:

I can't get Venti to save my life. They gave me Diluc instead(:mjlol:)and I got damn near all of Xiangling's constellations but I'm not even using her.:mjcry:

Uh...you may wanna consdering putting Xiangling in, breh. Granted, she ain't gonna out DPS fukking Diluc, but she's super solid and super fast too.
I didn't believe in Energy Recharge until just recently :mjcry: been playing on hard mode this whole time. Just patiently getting my ass beat waiting for that meter to come back.

:mjlol: You done goofed, fool. Yeah, Energy Recharge is essential. I been had that on deck and definitely plan on increasing it more.

Mora is kicking my ass almost as much as resin :mjcry: want to upgrade weapons? Mora. Want to level up talents? Mora. Want to level up character? Mora. Want to enhance artefacts? Mora.

Yeah I don't think they should've had money be a factor in levelling up. I disagree with that in any game, unless you're actually paying for something like an item or service from someone else to do it. If you're just doing it all yourself with items you're acquired, it shouldn't really cost money as well.

No it's not an MMO. It's a (mostly) single player action RPG. Very similar to "Breath Of The Wild".

Having said that, it's designed like an MMO in that they are going to constantly update it with content (new quests, characters, areas, dungeons, bosses, etc..) every 6 weeks. For the foreseeable future.

The game just came out like 3 weeks ago so there isn't an "end game" yet per se but there is high level bosses and dungeons you can farm gear, etc. in.

I say "mostly single player" because it has online co-op elements where you can help kill a boss or complete a goal for loot, etc.

People have "beat the game" as far as making it to the last chapter of the main story but again....this shyt is going to be updated and added on for years. So in 2-3 weeks they'll add more stuff.

Yes, you gotta put in work. It can be grindy as hell (as far as leveling up, obtaining gear, etc.) but if you enjoy (or at the very least, don't mind) stuff like that....this game is great.

There is a real world money aspect to it you can ignore. Basically anything in the game you can get on your own (with, admittedly, a lot of time and effort put in) you can just spend real money on to get faster. Or at least, try to get faster. The game been out less than a month and already made like $100 mill off people blowing thousands of dollars on it.

You can not spent any money and just play the game. You can blow your whole paycheck on it. Or, throw like $10-$15 at it for something like the Battle Pass which gives you gear and resources. It's up to you breh.

Fred.

I'm seeing some of ya'll say ya'll got multiple constellations for some characters, some even potentially maxed out. For those of you that have a lot of constellations, have ya'll actually spent any money on the game outside of the battle pass and the 5 dollar blessing?

When I was trying to go for Venti twice, I kept getting Barbara on multiple occasions, but I need Razor more than anything. I got multiple Xiangling as well. I try to wait until I have the 1600 for 10 wishs. I do have the battle pass and the 5 dollar blessing.
