The Official "Genshin Impact" Thread

Need a bit of guidance. I'm still finding my way on here, and I'm only AR15. I'm a bit unsure who I should be focusing on leveling.

My characters so far:
Traveler
Amber
Lisa
Noelle
Kaeya
Bennett
Xingqiu
Ningguang

First question: should I level/ascend the Traveler, or nah? Some sites are saying the Main Character/Traveler is one of the best characters in the game, and others are saying he/she is a lower tier character because other Anemo/Geo characters easily outclass it.
Second question: Of my 8, who should I be focusing on?

I'm thinking since I have 3 Geo characters, I should switch Traveler back to anemo, bench Noelle, and focus on Ninguang.
What say y'all?

I'm AR 57 or 58 and I still use Bennett and Xingqiu. That's how good they are.

Bennett in particular is fukking crazy, especially with constellations. Don't EVER activate his 6th constellation though. Trust me on that.

But he heals + gives an attack buff based on his base attack.

Throw traveler in the bushes. Stick to Bennett, Xingqiu, Ningguang, and Beidou for now. That's a very solid team.

Anyway, leaks have slowed to a crawl but info is floating around that the first banner for 2.2 will be....Tartaglia aka Childe. Again.

This could be 100% bullshyt but it's from (as far as I can tell) fairly reliable sources.

If it's true then....I have no idea what the fukk mihoyo is doing any more. Nobody asked for another Childe banner, this is his 3rd one. Especially when other characters like Xiao, Albedo, Hu Tao, Eula and Ganyu haven't even gotten one re-run. Eula I'll give them a pass on since she just dropped.

Speaking of Hu Tao, her and Thoma seem to be the 2nd banner of 2.2. Which again, makes no fukking sense. She should be 1st, and literally anyone I just mentioned should be 2nd. If they gotta do a re-run.

On a more positive note the Moonchase Festival starts Tuesday. It's kinda like the Lantern festival Liyue had earlier this year.

I read a very questionable spoiler about why he's getting a re-run. According to some leaks Scaramouche keeps the gnosis for himself or some shyt and Childe hunts him down to confront him. Probably bs but who knows.

As far as I know that's been confirmed via a leaked pic. At least some version of what you described.

Regardless, if they're letting story dictate banners then they could've swapped him out with literally anyone else.

Also, they're adding a new 5* bow which seems to be his signature weapon:

Rightfully so, mihoyo is wilding.

I don't know any Chinese cats so maybe it's a cultural thing. Maybe it's pride based and they don't want to admit they fukked up, I honestly don't know.

But them not doing anything for the anniversary, and then not even saying anything about it....is some of the wildest shyt I've ever seen in this industry. And I been gaming since Pong.

Then on top of all that they're removing anything negative about the game from Reddit, and it's foreign equivalents. Which is why the review bombing started.

The live stream for 2.2 should be this weekend, at some point they gotta address this. I just don't get their end game here. This isn't something they can ignore until it goes away.

We should end up with 1600 extra primos, 400 a day. Day 2 is 400 primos and 2x fragile resin.

Also they are now reaching out to media sites and telling fans

Personally, I don't think this is enough rewards. I'm not gonna spaz out on them but the game made $2 billion in a year, they could afford to gift everyone 90 pulls or outright give every player a 5* weapon or character and it wouldn't effect them at all.
But whatever, I'd rather they focus on fixing the Baal/Beidou thing and/or balancing Yoimiya and/or Kokomi. All that shyt got pushed to the side due to this anniversary stuff.

^^^ Yeah I'm more pissed at the lack of QOL changes and the poor balancing of the characters you mentioned. I got Kokomi on PC by accident(trying to get Xingqiu constellations)and I have absolutely no reason to level her.


Last thing Hydro needed was ANOTHER goddamn catalyst. Especially one so weak

Gave this game a shot today and the UI is confusing as shyt. Very beautiful game its just confusing as fukk. I tried so hard to switch weapons and I was unable to. Turned my PS5 off. Not playing this shyt no more too much work.
