Yeah, the Red Bull pit wall was clowning after Max's fast lap.Couldn’t sleep so I’ve watched some testing. Sad to say, nothing looks much different than last year.
Might need to skip to 2026.

Been reading some of the reddit sub threads, most non-RB fans seem to have that knot in their stomachs that this year will be even worse than last.
Its not looking great. Looking at the long runs I’d say its:
Red Bull
McLaren
Ferrari
Mercedes

If the F1 game is anything to go by, all Lewis needs is a car in the ballpark and he's in there. I seen a comment on Reddit by someone around the paddock that put Mercedes in a grouping with Ferrari and Aston, with McLaren falling behind them. I'll be watching as much as I can tomorrow to see how he looks in the car.
The car actually looks a lot better traction and control wise. But if the teams are 9n similar programs.....
Sainz was cooking during his race sim. Ferrari might have something here. Ended 2nd and 3rd stints with the same times as his first laps. 
Probably not on Max’s level but big step forward.
EDIT: Last stint was 2 secs/lap quicker than Max’s last race stint at this track in 2023. These ‘24 cars are fast.

I'm pleased from what I saw out of the Mercedes in the second half of the day. The car is much more compliant than at any point in the past 2 years. It's not going to have RBR pace, but it's close enough to pick up the pieces when shyt goes left. There's some pace left to find and I think over the first few races it'll come together.
