Ferrari is the outlier this year. They kept a variant of their suspension last year when everyone else went RBR with it.......They also designed a gorgeous car with barely carbon fiber.

I'm fine with this being the year I get intro'd into my new found Tifosism. They just need to figure out their tire wear shyt for next year and they got a car that can cook.

:russ: :manny:
Tire wear was figured out by middle of last season.

The car was just very evil to drive for most of 2023. Very inconsistent downforce. That was keeping them from showing the same pace they had in qualifying. They are hoping that is solved.

Random but help me. I was just thinking that some of the best advice Max ever got on racecraft was from Lewis.

You remember that race where O'con tried to unlap himself on Max when Max had the race won? Max refused to yield and they ended up colliding and costing Max the victory. Brazil I think.

You remember the cool down room where Max was PISSED?

Lewis was like, so he tried to unlap himself? "You had more to lose there, he had nothing to lose there."

I think whether he admits it or not. Max has taken that advice.

(Unless he is racing Lewis, then he is seeing the red mist as normal.)

I think it's true to an extent but he's not really be hassled by anyone right now. When he's under pressure he starts to crack. If by chance Red Bull doesn't have a chunk of pace advantage this year then we'll see the old, desperate Max start to reemerge.

Max measures risk as long as he has an advantage. Push come to shove, heā€™ll red mist. He even did this in 2022 against Mick Schumacher even though he was blitzing the season. Itā€™s just who he is.

I don't know if I'd credit Lewis with Max maturing as a driver but he probably didn't ignore it.

I think that just comes with age and experience. By now, he's seen it all.

Everyone cracks under pressure. That's normal.

If I was a team principal, I'd rather have Max, Lewis, or Alonso over anyone else on the grid in a pressure situation. They mistakes, but are less likely to than others when it counts.

Of course. But the running thought that Max is somehow infallible is easily countered.

That escalated fast as fukk.

Untenable you think?
Wishing ill will on Red Bull and associates aside, I try to keep a neutral stance on sexual misconduct allegations because an untrue accusation can fukk up somebody's life. But when you start making hush money payments... shyt starts to get real suspect. Even if he didn't commit misconduct I don't think it's a good look.

The was a LOT of static across the reddit universe arguing this was a harassment issue due to management and this wasn't a sexual issue. This doesn't sound like something he survives.

When Bernie Ecclestone in your corner backing you, I assume you are guilty as fukk.

Yeah I remember reading all the juelzing about that and people trying to downplay whatever it might be as just harsh management.

I think that was Brazil either '18 or '19. I remember Max went to throw hands back in the paddock :russ: . You'd think Ocon would have chilled a bit over the years, but he's the same old bonehead.

Though Max may never admit it, I'm sure Lewis has dropped some gems on him over the years. But having now done a threepeat of Driver's Titles, I'm sure Max is now firmly in "Can't tell me shyt" territory.

I see the Ford name being thrown around about Horner. Pressure going to be super crazy on Red Bull now. I dunno if Houdini could get out of this shyt.
