Max literally had Checo and both Alpha Tauri drivers running interference for him in 2021, along with Alonso when he was in position to do so.
I think the only real difference is Schumacher didn't do any racing during his gap, at least I think. Alonso basically waved his name around until it secured him top drives, and let's not pretend that his stint with Toyota had any actual challenge to it

My bad for the rant y'all.
Nico has a punchable face. he said some bullshyt today and them commentary cacs agreed like they somehow don't get why Lewis mentioned teammates. Brundle and Croft are two of the biggest max dikkriders in F1Right. Max hasn't driven with someone like Nico Rosberg, who to this day, if he's on a broadcast, will find a way to say something as mundane as his milk being spoiled is somehow Hamilton's fault.
If Red Bull would have left Albon in that seat, Max might have fukked around and actually had some competition.
Lets hope car improves with softer tires. He was sliding all over the place with hards in Q1.
Whatever setup is on that car, it's shyt for qualifying.
