He does just good enough but isn't a challenge for Max. Other than the crashing, he's exactly what they want.

This car. Consistently mid corner understeer followed by exit oversteer. Fundamental lack of downforce and excess drag.

Sainz did well, Hamilton tried everything he could to get past him.

Lewis ended with just 0.023 ahead of Lando I don't think anybody saw what happened because of the fireworks

Oversteer in the last corner, too eager on the power. Lewis wasn't going to find a way past unless Sainz made a major mistake. The Mercedes just has no straight line speed when out of the draft.
