There's always a chance for Checo to lock up into the wall in S3 while trying to impress the Mexican fans, bringing out a red flag on Verstappen's flying lap with not enough time to restart the session

The only issue is for the start of the race you probably don't want to be on pole with the slowest car on the straight.

Not a probably at Mexico, you definitely don't want to be P1.

On the other hand, would be nice to see Lewis on pole once this year.

That 3rd sector, like I said. But that's a tow down to turn 1. Another typical lockup from Russell could clear things out nicely.

Lewis was also deliberately cautious in the first sector after his time was wiped out. Will be interesting to see how the car performs tomorrow, but he is starting in the best spot.

He's in the best position on track at P3. Still going to be tough as the Red Bulls will be very fast even without DRS. Perez could make a mess if he gets an overspeed. Ricciardo last year was a classic example.
