I keep telling people, in race strategy isn’t as obvious as it seems. People its the hardest job off the track IMO.

Nothing not obvious about this though.
Pit both drivers or keep both drivers out as a buffer. You don't hedge your bets.

No other team would compromise a damn near guaranteed double podium to let a slower driver jump the lead driver in tire strategy and ruin the lead drivers race. Could you imagine RedBull doing this to Max with Perez? This was Ferrari levels of bullshyt.

Nothing to do with ruthlessness. This was a team call, they changed it into an individual decision. So either Merc no longer give a fukk about Lewis, or they are Ferrari levels of fukking incompetent.
