The safe strategy is to follow Max through T1, harder for him to run into you that way. A pass into T6 or even T9 would be sufficient.

? No you implied that it was always the plan to go on the softs since the medium time was already good enough.
I don't think I did although I did post about the possibility before quali.

Either way, its done now. Will be interesting to see how the strategy plays out tomorrow.

. A tow down both long straights. Wasn't a lot of driver skill involved in that.

That's 2 tenths at least for each straight.
So if Red Bull got the low DF wing and Max still needed the tow they are trying their best not to get eaten tomorrow.

Not too bad for Merc. Max on softs means he either has to has to push them hard at the start to build up a gap or if he gets behind Lewis has to push them to keep up. Not really ideal for him either way. I just hope for a clean race tomorrow.
