This is what I hate about this forum.
Straight up bullshyt.
In 8 seasons Rooney is scoring 0.497 goals per game and is 26 years old.
In 10 seasons with Newcastle Alan Shearer scored 0.509 goals per game.

and 5 seasons Rooney played with C.Ronaldo, one of the most selfish players in the game.

Yeah I'm mad.
That's a great ratio, but Darren Bent has 0.44 goals per game in much shytter teams. Not to compare the two, but you can be an Ian Wright dude with 0.5 GPG.... and not be top class.

Rooney has shown he's got amazing ability and potential... dude just needs to perform at that level more consistently.

Man these British footballers have no character, Thatcher has to be rolling in her grave.

They are like Brazilians with no talent, you can't be chain smoking, drinking and banging hookers if you're not an exceptional talent.

Great goalscorer and a club legend but never did it at the very top level.

Never could cut it internationally.

In terms of achievement, he's on the Defoe/Bent level... guaranteed to get you league goals but that doesn't make you all that.

January never seemed so far away. With the way we played City, we shouldve won this game, just goes to show how inconsistent we can be, or how mediocre. Kunty you talking about Rodgers not having a plan B, well hes got more options now than at Swansea. Which means we're going to see alot of rotation, id rather see Borini on the bench as an impact sub, and Gerrard up top with Suarez and Sterling, Shelvey is gonna be the man, put him in front of Allen and Sahin. We're gonna mis Carroll unless he can get it done for West Ham and get signed in January.

Despite not being an Arsenal fan, I would argue that Wright didn't get the proper opportunity to prove himself on the international stage; certainly not in way Shearer did (when he was firing blanks before Euro 96).
