how easy is it to learn dutch? something draws me to it, more than other languages

Pretty easy, it's basically just German, take out the O's, and put in A's, and you get Dutch. Since English is a Germanic language, it should be easy.

Although I forgot just about everything I learned in 4 years of German

learning a foreign language is never easy breh.

and dutch is not just german with letters changed around, my family from holland doesn't understand spoken german
