The managerment of Sky = Team GB, its all the same people. You need to watch the documentary on Sky from last year on all the behind the scene stuff they do. shyts like Batman with all the prep work they put in.
C'mon breh cyclists dont start comin into their own till they hit 25/26 and Froome just turned 28. Porte was domestique for Albrehto back in the Giro that he won then got DQ'd for , also Porte came 4th in the World Champs, all this before he joined Sky.
Froome
all those Iberian speakers into doin fukk all in the end
Well let's continue then ;)
I give you the age thing. You got a point. I looked up the age of recent great cyclists and it's not a factor, even if some of them began to peak early (22/23). They may peak later now.
About Porte, he was useless to Contador in the mountains in 2010 Giro. According to yesterday's stage, he's the peloton's second best climber now (his performance today is supposedely caused by a fall so I don't take that into account).
In 2010 Giro, Porte got the white jersey because of two things :
- First stage was a time-trial (I'll talk about that later)
- In stage 11, he was in a breakaway when he gained 13min on the peloton (that gave him the pink jersey).
And yes he was 4th at the '10 World Championships. Time Trial championships. Time Trials. Dude is known to be a time-trial specialist (I'm not disputing that at all) not an allrounder and above all not a climber. In those World Championships he was in the top with the likes of Cancellara, Martin, Rogers or Millar. None of them are climbers because they are time-trial specialists.
Yesterday he climbed better than mountain specialists.
This year's Paris-Nice he demolished climbers in Stage 5 in a ridiculous way (fast forward to the 7min)...

Do I believe a clean team is working a field of dopers? Absolutely not.
Now of course, when it was Discovery in this position my opinion was different
But nah, it's impossible.
:tisalute:
But, do I think they're cheating?
Not really. I do believe they have mastered the next technique that will be banned in the future, but hasn't even hit them skreets yet.
Same here. But we're talking about doping techniques right ?
Froome's boost does have an alibi btw. He has a chronic baterial disease that he picked up in Kenya that was putting in work on his blood count even while he was a professional. The Sky docs figured out, and the shape he had worked himself into even while short of a few deck combined with those missing cards gives us what we have now.
Now if that sounds a little familiar to how post-chemo Lance regained his same strength while losing mad weight then
Never heard of that. You got sources ?
And yeah, Porte was tasked with protecting Roid Boy Brehto at Team Sangre Bank
But as I said, I do think they're "clean", they've just mastered something that the rest of the field ain't perfected yet. The French, as you've exhibited (
) won't let that stand, especially in lieu (see what I did there) of Lance finally getting nailed, are going to go hamster on them. They'll remain ahead of the curve though.
It's not about hunting the doped. It's about hunting the hypocrisy and the ridiculousness of the situation
Froome's interview at the end of the stage yesterday is just that to me ("I'm 100% clean !").
But overall, I don't care. As I said earlier, it's just entertainment to me.
(By the way I didn't see what you did :euh: )
This team, and Team GB as a whole, exists solely to win. There's zero division amongst the ranks. From to to bottom, this is what they're after.
I don't dispute that neither.
The only things I'm mad at is people thinking that Team Sky ain't shady using Discovery/US Postal techniques.
EDIT : And since you brought the nationalities in the topic, take a look at
http://forum.cyclingnews.com/ and how the doubters are from everywhere.
Seems like mostly brits believe in Sky
