Today, as a 66 year old man, Muller would've had Bayern up 3-0.

I'm all for guys who don't do much else but hold the ball up and score, but Gomez was bad at both Dude was the least clinical/had the worst touch of any 20 or 30 or 40 goal scorer ever. The fact he netted so many is an absolute fukking testament to the Bayern wingers creating chances (namely Ribery and Robben missing shots that he scored the rebound of) and the Bayern midfield working like goons all game to retain possession.

Hindsight is 20/20 and all, but Dortmund maybe caught a break last year. Bayern hurt themselves a lot by accommodating Robben, which caused Kroos and Muller to be played out of position (deep lying playmaker and second striker, respectively) way too often.
