If there is one thing that is wrong with Pep’s players recruitment is that the players he recruits are near useless and impotent if they don’t have the ball; they have to dominate and monopolize possession. The City players looked bewildered, baffled, confused and dazed at when Chelsea held the ball well in the first half and controlled possession during parts of the first half. Pep’s plan A is a very dominant Plan A but when it doesn’t work, well, you saw what happened reverting long balls, Rory Delap styled throw in and crosses into a team that aren’t a threat in set pieces. There is a reason why he is successful his Plan A with the best players in the most, best three clubs in the world he has managed along the manager who has spent the most in football history has allocated him this success not so much this famed genius nature of his. Could he taken Jose’s Porto or Inter with the same resources to a champions league final? Definitely not. Could he have taken a midfield trio of Henderson, Wijnaldum and Fabinho(World Class) to back to back champions league final and get 97 points and 99 points with the same resources as Klop? Again, definitely not. This man has been endowed with access to teams, money and players no other manager has come close to it.

His 2011 champions league wining team midfield was Inesita, Xavi, Busquets and his forward line was Villa and Pedro, with Pique dominating the possession and backline, this is the core of the team that won the World Cup without him and Messi arguably the greatest player of all time, vs a midfield of Park, Giggs and Valenica. Pep is a very lucky man. Very lucky. He should count his blessing. No other manger is this blessed and given this amount of resources.

1 Lewandowski

2 Mbappé

3 Messi

4 Kante

If Kante continues his form, France win Euros with him making team of the tournament and winning MOTM awards, he will win it.

I’m going to give Pep this, that Barca team was a shambles before him. That team took football to another level.

I think early on, he was more adventurous. Slowly he became more anti-football and tried to script everything. He doesn’t like an uncertainty. That’s why he lacks a plan B IMO.

" is partially right though. Cashly got nuff abuse and little of the plaudits despite being one of England's few world class players at the time and certainly at that point the most consistent one. He is the 6th most capped England international - up there with Rooney, Gerrard, Shilton, Beckham and Moore but despite being their equivalent (at least) in terms of talent and performances he got none of their plaudits. C. Ronaldo said that Cashley was his toughest opponent.

Cashly was literally top 3 globally in his position and all he got was abuse. And that abuse was largely because of who he was dating. She was glamorous, famous, hot, a pop star, a national sweetheart and every "Brexit's" dream girl so they hated that he was going out with her.

Leaving Arsenal and the Terry/Rio incidents didn't help but the abuse started way before that.

LOL how are you gonna talk about the unnecessary disrespect and then refer to him as Cashly throughout. :mjlol:

Joke of a list. The fact kante is behind Mbappe and Messi tells me they about to turn this award into a popular award like how players are selcted in the pro bowl.

It should be between lewandowski and kante. The rest arent even close in the race.

All Kante has to do is reach the Euros final and the award is his.

That's what won it for Modric amirite? :mjpls:
