I guess ‘sensible’ Arsenal fans will be happy with yet another top 3 finish. Us “whiners” will just accept the inevitable since the club are happy with mediocrity and another trophy less season.

I keep trying to remember which US professional sports franchise that Arsenal reminds me of. I haven’t been following soccer as long as most ppl here so I know I don’t have the same historical knowledge/context, but what I’ve seen the last couple of years with Arsenal has a certain je nais se quois. The hype, anticipation that this is the year, the unquestioned talent, flashes of brilliance that slowly but surely descends into lackluster performances that reek of an eventual slide towards disappointment.

Are there glaring weaknesses in the lineup?

Underachieving to me is almost always a coaching/managerial issue.

Game on
Biggest game of the season

I don't care how big these plastic clubs get, this is and always will be the biggest game of the season, and the reverse fixture

Sorry Man U fans, I want to humiliate you today, I've got to go watch It in some bar tonight and there will be this dikkhead United fan who is always in there

Plus it will be pay back for last season
Everyone goes on about Klopp derailing our season because of his announcement in January but it wasn't that.

It was losing to you lot in the Fa Cup and the way we lost that screwed our season up
This is our Champions League Final.... we gonna do to you what Tyson only threatened to do to that reporter.... RAW!!!.... :steviej:

Sensible Arsenal fans need to appreciate how far they have come and the tremendous efforts of Arteta who these fans are lucky to have.

Arsenal are genuinely only good enough to finish top 3 (dare I say top 4) and Arteta is securing that spot season after season. Therefore, I don't get the whole accepting mediocrity argument.

Trophies will come down the line (I predict in the next 4-5 seasons) so fans just need to be patient. You can't act spoilt like your team are historic serial winners like Real Madrid
